yo thank you for that com, you won't find the records i used because it's customed recs. But you can find the sounds i used in the "more infos" section.
yo m-rode im a dj putting together my custom record for the 08 us finals im useing a mpc2500 what did you use to make your records. by the way great set are you entering the dmc this year
yo, i only work with my computer and use cubase with reason in rewire mode as "sequencers", wavelab or soundforge as audio editing and mastering , acid pro for mixes..i don't think about dmc this year, peace ..
really like it, especially the way u arrange and compose your sounds in the set. No breakups or interruptions and flows perfectly throughout the set... hope u know what i mean.
I'm always open to fresh music. i have no problems with customs in DMC. In fact i find customs suits very well in DMC where i find good turntablism music comes 1st.
Good job m-rode, you did your own thing. Stay true to yourself! Dun let the nay-sayers keep u down.
thanks guyz ! don't worry keon i'm gonna stay true to myself and continue to use custom records because that's the way i can show my real identity ! peace !
don't understand waht you guys are talking about , this shit sounds amazing and whether you want it or not , this is where tunrtablisim is goin to . but guys , let's let each person do his thing ,and for what m rode wanted to do here he did it so tight .
thanks pipe & guyz ! i said i did my own records so i'm sorry you can't find them but if you want to know what sounds i used 4 this set, just check the "more info" link pleaz..
well i understand what "someonethatknows" talk about but i'm agree with "3formed". If it sound almost to good i'm happy ! because this is why i work for.I really don't like turntablism sets that sounds like noise. Sometimes I judge battles and I always place first the one who's the most musical with the best technique of course...
believe im way behind but i've only really been at the whole turntablism shit for a couple of years (got bored of just mixing!!), one day but at least i know what im talking about..ok so some might say technically cheating by going digital but like you say its all about how it goes together and a least making it musical! Building a set like that takes skill and practice. Pure noise is no good any idiot can do that with a bit of rhythm.. even someonethatknows.
looks like 3formed is admittedly a rookie so anything his faggot ass says is hearsay=shit.
someonethatknows has a valid point and anyone with any turntablism experience can atleast see what he is saying. ive been in the game for a thankless decade and shit is all fucked up these days.
I think solid is slightly an understatement, to learn to do that shit takes years of practice, it sounded almost too good because it was...and you think you're "someonethatknows"
ok i tried to put it nicely but u mutha fuckas gota get a hair across your ass so here it is. your fucking cheating for god's sake u didn't even lift the fucking needle once. u got only two records custom pressed 4 your lazy, trendy ass and you think your all musical filling out the fucking carbon copy traced steps. kiss my ass 3formed.. ask me bitch
it was wanted! Nu teknologies like mixvives, cubase allows us to create your own sounds, then i do that way to make nice transitions.Nowadays, needless 2 say that lifting the cartridge, changing records etc is a waste of time,The only cheat is here, gaining time!My 2005 set was old schooly done, with real recs wich aren't mine, and i spent a month to do it.This year,i spent 3 monthes setting up my own records,so telling me that i'm lazy and assuming that this set is carbon copied is ridiculous!
nice production but thats not really the point of turntablism or at least battling is it. is it? it sounded almost too good and the judges probably let that overlook all the technical wizardry u were dropping.i'm not going to diss your ability cause it's honestly solid but u might want to think about what keeping it real is all about. peace
