What a fucking rip off , you can buy a aircon for that price. Dyson good on you for making something that dum people buy and can riped off , I would do the same .
yup this is not worth it. what's funny is that there's actually a tiny conventional fan at the base to blow the air up. $350 for the cool factor over functionality? what a joke.
@Zzyyzzxx7 based on the reviews i can tell that this thing is not very quiet at all. i can get an equally functional if not better noiseless tower fan with high air flow and a timer for a quarter of this price. so how does Dyson justify the ridiculous price other than it being cool looking and easy to clean? let's face it the only selling point is that unconventional design.
@Zzyyzzxx7 so that's the main reason you shelled out big bucks for this fan? to impress girls? if you can already get them to come to your room then why need the fan?
How does the non buffeting air flow feel when you are naked in front of it after a shower and you are getting the cool breeze blowing against your big nuts??? This is a key factor for me in purchasing this item. i like the idea of non buffetting nut blow winds.
@swiftdan8 The blades are essentially in the bottom housing. it just pushes air really fast through the tube and that creates the wind. Haven't you seen the commercials?
Neat piece of engineering but I've got a $50 tower fan that moves as much air on high as this does with half the noise or less. Also being a squirrel cage design, it's a constant flow of air as well.
It's not actually bladless and east to clean since it has a fan inside and you'll need to clean the fan too.

@DirecDelta oh no, it's very functional.
You can feel the air on the lowest setting across any room, and when I put it on high for like 5 minutes, it'll vool my room about 5 derees.
I keep it on the lowest setting all the time, like I did with my other tower fan. This is a little bit quieter and it has the same air flow.
AND ITS FUCKIN COOL

@DirecDelta Lol, that's not how I get them there.
It's just, people come in my room and it's the first thing they notice.
It's like a really nice looking piece of furniture. And it's 'shelling out big bucks' dude.. $400.. come on.
Not like the thing's 2 grand

at the end of the day the only people that are laughing are Dyson.

no, not really, but you do definitely will hear the noise it generates, but it isn't louder than normal fans with the same size

You Talked about the noise. Is it difficult to hear the TV with the fan at full speed next to it?
