If you like Interpol you should search for the song "Sense of Purpose" by the band "The Sound" released in 1981. This band was basically undiscovered but they pre-dated what I would consider the sound of Interpol, Editors etc by a couple decades, in that they took the good ideas of Joy Division et al, and made them rocking and catchy. Anyways when I heard Sense of Purpose and realized it was 20 years old, it blew my mind. The internet is a blessing in it's way
