First off, if you downgrade to 2.4.3, you wont be able to play Retail WoW. Secondly. If you've hit the milestone (patch 3.0.0 or up) you cannot downgrade no matter what, you will have to find a patch 1.0.0-2.4.3 client installer.

i just downloaded wow from the trial disk and when i log on it says patch is required and updates r required and it says its downloading them but then it keeps saying the same thing when i try to log in again i dont get this at all and im new to wow, do u have to buy patches or r they free automatically

The latest World of Warcraft patch is currently 3.1.3. So you have to keep updating until you have 3.1.3 or you cannot play.

ok, so i recently just got da game, n i downloaded all the patches, but my friend told me to stop at 2.4.3 and not go any higher, but it automatically keeps on downloading it and I click cancel, and i never get a chance to click PLAY!

You have to patch up to the highest patch to play the game, go ahead and patch up on to 3.0.9, its the highest.

What happen was when your friend told you to get the game, patch 2.4.3 was the highest, so he said only to go to it, but now 3.0.9 is the highest.

Make sure you have a good CD code and make an account on the World of Warcraft website and patch 3.0.9 and you should be able to play.

It will make the game better.

All the patches do is fix things in the game that are broken, they also add new things such as areas, items and quests.

Thats impossible. 3.0.9 is available on every *retail* server.

Your friend must be talking about a Private Server, do not go to a private server, they are illegal and they will ruin the game for you.

If you have the Classic WoW installed, you should have all its patches, once you install Burning Crusade, you get all its patches, same with Lich King. If you do not have Burning Crusade or Lich King, and you've never changed your realmlist before. Start WoW up, and type in any account name and password, it should let you patch up to the next patch. Once it says the account name or passwords wrong, you should be at the highest patch.

Now that i think of it level 30 mounts is a really gay idea now our game is gonna be infested with noobs who think their special just because they have mounts...i mean really their still weak as hell they just get mounts and level 30 or SHOULD I SAY 40! mounts are still slow ass hell unless ur a hunter or a paladin cause if u have a serton spec u go faster on ur mount so...dont et to exited nooby level 30's...your still slow is frickin hell.

well i think its great, its not fair only some classes get travel forms and locks and paladins get free mounts. Warriors, priests, rogues, mages(lol blink doesnt count!) and others i forgot just makes traveling a huge pain.

wrath of the litch king is coming out soon like with the burning crusade they started adding the new content for WotLK before the expansion so it is easier to make the transition without taking time to install the new expansion which looks like to give the old school WoW back because they are using t3 models again for the new naxxaramas
