It seems that most people degrade piranhas simply because they couldn't fight other agressive fishes in captivity/aquariums. Piranhas are designed by nature to attack in schools in the wild. Forcing the piranhas to fight against agressive cichlids like flowerhorns is like forcing a boxer to fight a wrestler in a wrestling match.

Non-climactic CRAP! It's clear with that FH protecting that cave that the Piranha's we added to his tank. After a few nights one morning you would wake up & your FH wouldn't have an eye!

i use to have red belly piranhas before, they're not as agressive and smart than a flowerhorn. The piranha myth is missleading, they act just like many others aquarium fish except they have sharper teeth and look nice in group. no bad feeling plz. don't believe what people say on TV show. eg. piranha can smell blood...almost all fishes can and are hungry for it.

Red Belly Piranhas are naturally shy, and skittish when approached. I once own 5 of em, and they suck, Your Flowerhorn wouldn't be acting like that around my new 5 inch overly aggressive (Serrasalmus Rhomebus), A.K.A. the "Black Piranha." LMFAO!! And i can assure you of that.

who ever says their pacu's is a noob. first of all you haven't seen the mouth structure yet. even so you should be able to tell by the upper part of the fishes skin. pacus and piranhas have it diffrent specially in this size.
