If both parents are US citizens with at least one claiming residence in the US, then these requirements don't even enter into play. It was never banned. Stop spreading your lies. By the way, even if he did use an Indonesian passport (which he did not), he would have just turned 21 at the time. His Indones. Citzenship (if it ever existed) would not have disappeared until he was 23. So this all means nothing.

Once he became President of Pakistan, there was no further issuance of martial law in the country. American tourists could travel across Pakistan, especially to Karachi, its largest city, where Obama went. Anything else you want to be wrong about.

I am not citing current law. I am citing from the State Department's archives. Any US citizen could travel into Pakistan at that time. Pakistan was issuing 30 day travel visas to Americans at that time. Obama traveled there under a US passport because he could, because the US and Pakistan were allies and tourists were allowed into the country. No, you receive your citizenship by being born in the US. It is granted at the time of your birth. Under US law, as a child, it can not be taken away from you, no matter what your parents do. The only time your parents' citizenship matters is if you are born out of the country. If 2 American citizens have a child while on vacation in France, that child is a US citizen. If only one parent is a US citizen, then that parent must meet certain requirements based on age & residency to pass on citiz.

No, citizenship does not past through parents as far as the US is concerned. Obama had his own, separate citizenship that was not dependent on his mother's. Upon returning to the US, he did not need to clear customs or sign an allegiance because he was already a US citizen. Simple US law. He is also not a Muslim. Why does Indonesia a country like the United States that does not allow dual citizenship show Obama and his family as citizens of Indonesia when he attended school there as a Muslim? Obama never lost his US citizenship while he lived in Indonesia because under US law, a child cannot lose his American citizenship because he can not form the intent. He retains it until age 23 when he would have to renounce US citizenship in order to retain any other citizenship. Obama did not do so, so he lost any vestige of Indonesian citizenship he may have had. He did not need to be naturalized when he returned to Hawaii because he was still an American citizen.
