I heard the autotune too. I just thought for a moment in your response you were denying the fact that you did use it. Like I said, the arrangement was fine. I just wanted to confirm that my thoughts were correct.

@CorbinRag Chances are, what you think you heard is actually me not setting the EQ right on my mixer. I'm not kidding when I tell you you CAN NOT hear the autotune. So please forgive me for being more than a little incredulous about that.

You say you learned the parts MINUTES before you recorded them and you also said you finished this in a week. Even the best of singers, (unless you are a true virtuoso, which is not the case) need to take much more time than what you did to learn the part and perform it without flaw.

The arrangement was fine, but without a doubt autotuned. Am I correct?

@CorbinRag No, the way you said it, something like "poor vocals covered up by autotune", pretty much states that you can hear the autotune. I'll just have you know, almost literally EVERY song that you buy is autotuned -- it's been there since the eighties. So unless you can hear it, and hear poor vocals behind it, you shouldn't complain about autotune being there. At all. Had I said absolutely nothing in the comments, you wouldn't have problem with it. I guarantee you. =P

@CorbinRag I don't even have good autotune, as you can hear by my not-quite-perfect solo line. I had to hit ALL of those moving lines -- the only thing my autotune did was nudge some stray notes back on-course. I learned these rather complicated parts in minutes and performed them, getting all five of these parts recorded and ready in four days. I might be a little biased, but I don't think that's poor vocals at all.

'sides. I think you'd much rather have autotune than out-of-tune chords. =P

I personally think the style was an interesting choice, and to be honest, refreshing. There have been so many remakes of Giggle at the Ghostly that have been focused on synthesized and electronic styles and genres, so to go from that to a style that became popular decades ago is a daring move.

I like the result overall, the change is so surprising that I am automatically amused from the start, and so adds onto the lighthearted lyrics.

There are parts that could be improved, but I like the song

I hear autotuning makes up for poor vocals.

The singing to me sounds off pitch at the beginning.

It's Pinkie Pie. I don't care that you're a guy, there are some vocals that sound just awful when you take it several octaves lower than the original.

Too much unnecessary swinging that just sounds horrendously out of place.

I really don't have much bad to say about it, but I also have nothing good to say. This is not an exceptional cover.

@Revkok I think it is kind of contradictory to list several problems in an overly negative fashion, and later say you have little 'bad' to say about it in the same comment. You either don't like it, and list your reasons why, or you don't like it, and simply say something like "It's not special to me". You can't have your muffin and eat it too.

I did not have many bad things to say about it, but the few things that I did have were not about the transcription as a whole, but just what had painfully stood out to me as I listened.

To me, this just wasn't a very good piece, and I stated why. I just happened to have nothing good to say about it either.
