Phantasy Star 3: fight with Dark Force

I love how this boss died.He didn't make an enormous explosion or something like a big bang, he just fall like a commun monster.You're the Dark Force and you can't have a good finish , it's sad :,( poor Dark force.

agreed Phantasy Star 3 is a pain to play mainly because of how intense the planet hopping gets and how GODS BE FRIGGING SLOW you move. That aside still a very good game and agreed Dark Force here is one of his good ones (although imo they are all good... er evil?)

Haha...the boss's head going down the clouds inch by inch as he speaks...the most funniest and stupidest things I ever seen in an RPG.  Makes it look like a joke.

Despite how underrated Phantasy Star 3 is compared to the other games, I have to really say that Dark Force's theme here beats all of the other's. It actually sounds sinister.

3 was weak in it's execution of an awesome idea. The generational idea wad very good. The graphics were horrid but the music was pretty cool

Rolf would pwn this version of Dark Force alone. I liked the bad guys in the last dungeon because they mostly seemed to be human.

Ugh... Phantasy Star III was such a rushed mess. Dark Force looked infinitely cooler in the previous game and the music, animations and UI were far superior.

This game definitely deserves its bastard child status in the original series. What a truly fate cruel to befall the peoples of Palma, indeed. :/

@cius2112 When compared to the other offerings in the series, this game bares almost no semblance to them. If it didn't have the words "Phantasy Star" in the title, it could have easily been mistaken for not even being a Phantasy Star game. And yeah, the static images for monsters are a step backward from the previous game's.

Two of the things that i didn't about this game are the names of the spells... deban, fanbi, forsa, (sa)ner, rever, shift, (what are you shifting?) (gi/na)tsu. WTF do all those mean? You had to USE them to find out what they did and sometimes you STILL didn't know what they did. And also all the spells were in groups of four, if a character had one, they had the whole group.

Actually, you should have attacked the left hand (D.F.'s right). That hand heals it :-p As for the games (i've only played I - IV. I was by FAR the best, III was lame, IV was good and II was WAY too complicated, especially when you had to go through those dams And that tower on Dezoris (i use the old names) where you had to fall off of the EXACTly right spot to get the items.

Nice vid, brings back memories. Although I played this game through and through  with all possible marriage combo's, I was still a little bit disappointed. Phantasy star II had far better music and more interaction in the villages. Not the mention a more entertaining combat (as in you would see the chara's attack, not only weapon impact)

Shame they did have parallax scrolling for the red clouds as that would have given the battle more energy. Could have done with something a little more spectacular for when he bites the dust rather just falling straight off the screen with a cheery little tune!

I'm not the biggest fan of Phantasy Star III, but I must say that the music for this battle is fucking awesome. IMO, Dark Falz/Force/etc. is ALWAYS awesome to fight in all his incarnations.

Also, I like the scrunched-up, creepy-ass face Dark Force makes when he attacks.

This game, music, sprites etc arent too bad and nowhere as near as bad as people say as they havent taken into account the games age and limitations of the hardware and the team that made this wasnt the normal PS team but Golden Axe team hence the music sounding a lot like that.

The only issue I have is the lack of battle animation and frames, apart from that is just needs touched up on sprites and backgrounds and colours etc.

It's the whole Pandora Box thing, unleash all the evils of the world through ignorance or something. I think thats what it symbolizes only the ignorance is replaced with necessity to confront evil.
