I wish he is given a role in the big screen one day looking like this. I would watch him everyday n feel really happy... :p

AI gave him exactly what his intention was, a huge international platform to expose his innate and rare talent.
@BrendonGan no its not. he just toned it down for this because it's american idol and he didnt wanna freak out the family friendly idol viewing audience. Adam wore much more makeup, and actual face and body paint and had green and red hair, and wore even more over the top outfits and top hats before he became famous. his look today is far more tame than what it used to be before he was famous like 3 years ago. all ya gotta do is a simple google images search to see :P

@BRD453 100,000-150,000 people audition. Everyone goes through 2 filters before they'll ever see the judges. The 1st audition is before the producers for about 15-30 seconds. If you make the cut you get a 2nd audition in front of them. Only if you make that cut do you audition in front of the judges. Some get in solely for being unintentionally funny or bizarre, only to be shown on the audition tapes for entertainment. (That's cruel, IMO.) Only about 100-150 get to Hollywood (approx. 1 in 1000).
@BRD453 Yeah, like I said, it's cruel. Particularly when they've spent about 10 hours already that day jumping through the hoops to get their audition in front of the judges, but are too nervous to perform their best. Especially sad for those at the cutoff age.
They must have to sign a waiver before they can audition. On the finale show (the most watched of the season) they aired some of the worst and/or most humiliating auditions, in front of an international audience. I found it sickening.

After some thought about why Adam hadn't been discovered, I think may have been that he may have been playing in Gay Clubs, and I think maybe record executives don't scout them for talent. It's a theatre thing. They pass them over because no one expects anything good from them unless it's what you could find in musicals and such. Even then, they would expect musical theatre voices to be that popular. I think they're characterized (unfairly though) by the "overstressed" vibrato.

HOLY CRAP!!! have you guys seen that video of him and his boyfriend, Drake (HOTTIE) and adam was like chowing down on his food XD!! and i think his bf was having like a salad or something i dont remember, he was barely even eating lol, but adam didnt give a shit XD he had like steak or something, AH!!! i love him ^_^

He is thinner here (a year ago) and looks healthy. It's actually a pretty dramatic comparison. The Idol run and subsequent tour has ravaged his health! He needs some r & r when it's all over.
