The club owns the houses that run along the railway....we've been buying them up for years. There's big talk of further renovation...potentially making it seat more than Wembley, and a private rail station under the stand for the away fans to embark/disembark...which would benefit the police, traffic and all sorts of stuff....Don't ask me how I know this, but just watch this space. :)

I have to admit it, Old Trafford is a fantastic stadium and always will be. But your fans are shit. The only reason its called the Theatre of Dreams is because your all asleep.

the south stand cant be made to match the north because of the railway line it cannot be expander that way any more however they can build another teir onto it

went to old trafford last season and it is an amazing stadium, but the roof is such a massive design flaw, the view at the back is SHIT, st james has got it right, the view up there is unbelievable

they may expand the south stand to the north, but it would cost loads because there is a railway and canal, right behind it, it would be to expensive

@Lawro2k7 in fact that is wrong. The plans are to build on the south stand to match the north stand. making it 90,000 seater! however the problem is that there is a train station they have to build over so thats the difficulty

@rexzor1 hi mate the only further extensions i can see happening are a third tier added to the stretford end and the east stand { behind the goals} the south stand can not be developed due to a railway line running behind it, i may be wrong. hope that has helped

All they need to do is get planning permision which they're struggling with, however we're in massive debt ATM so don't expect it to be done soon. They'll just make a concreet tunnel for the railway.
