I prefer van Sants old films like Mala Noche and Drugstorecowboy. The new films aren't my taste. What's the newo one? "Restless"? I ask myself what happened to Gus van Sant?!

personally, mala noche is one of the best gus van sant films with elephant. the emotion of pure and violence in this film have never been appeared so crystal but oppressive again in his recent works.

Its funny cuz I knew the actor in this movie douglas for about 5 years now, and never knew he was in this movie, or even an actor at that, til a couple months ago when he said he was meeting gus van sant.

I love Gus Van Sant's movies! I only came across this movie recently. I haven't seen it yet but I hope to. He's made two great movies in the last year: "Paranoid Park" and "Milk". I'm hoping he wins an Oscar tonight. He deserves it!
