Hope it works for you. I sent mine back after horrible reliability with 3 types of FMJ ammunition. Got it back after three weeks and had nothing but failures to feed through 200+ rounds at least twice per magazine. Sold it and am now carrying a Glock 26. It looks like a Glock but it doesn't run like a Glock.
i would prefer the 9mm....why in God's glory is the 380acp more than the 9mm...the 9mm has higher stopping power, bigger wound channel and typically expands better and with more reliability because it shoots faster, under 950fps i wouldn't trust expansion.
Many people don't give this gun a second thought, only because of DB being a new company and of course it's problems coming out of the gate in it's first year of production. But forget that both the LCP and the P238 both had loads of problems for the first year of production. Also if you don't add FTF/FTE training into your defense training you are not training correctly. Not saying that your carry firearm shouldn't be 100% reliable, but your training must be 100% as well. Nice vid!
i have a db380 in the regular black on black...it is so ammo sensitive...i really wanted to like my db380 i just cant carry it anymore due to worries of it messing up on me! but i still wouldnt get rid of it
@23mrcowboys That sucks to hear. The only ammo I've shoot thru my DB is federal & remington as of 330 rds. I do have 100rds of tula ammo I've picked up a few weeks ago.Once I shoot that stuff thru it I'll let you know how it performs. But so far my DB is doing great.
the only ammo i have any trouble with is the pmc bronze through my db380 had 3 FTF last trip to the range when i opened the box of blazer aluminum case did not have any issues probably ran 600 rounds through it so it was already broke in
Is the EXO finish slippery to rack the slide? I had the nickel plated version and had to get rid of it b/c it was very tough to rack with slighty sweaty hands plus it was too picky on ammo for my liking. I really wanted it to be a keeper as I loved the fit in hand, smooth trigger, and sights. Good luck with it bro!
@MrCleanerNash I heard of a lot of people who owned the earlier models of the DB380. Had a bunch of problems with the pistol. FTF/FTE issues. Diamondback has fixed those problems now. The EXO finish is still a bit slippery but the trigger is great and the sights are awesome. So far I have only put 300 rds thru mine DB of federal and wilson combat JHP's. With no issues so far. But 300 rds is nothing.
I am real close to getting one of these. My lcp is acting up and I had it. I am a glock fan so this may be the ticket for me. Do you anything negative to say about the diamondback? I already watched the vid on speer gold dot oversized ammo
@TheFireArmGuy I had an early production nickel platted diamondback. Wound up getting rid of it too picky on ammo and slide too slippery with slighty wet hands. They might have ironed out some of the bugs by now though. I would suggest getting the plain black or maybe even EXO slide but definately not Nickel even though it looks sick. I really miss how it felt in hand, sights, and awesome trigger. Let me know what you wind up getting.
@TheFireArmGuy might want to consider the new db9 too probably be a couple months before you could come across one but they are about the same size but in 9mm
Man i love little .380 pistols. I love the way they look, but i dont care for many of them just due to the fact many are POS (or so i have heard). I do like the ruger LCP though. Good video man.
@TacticoolGUY This is my second pocket 380. My first one being the ruger LCP. I sold the lcp because I didn't like the long trigger pull. After shooting 200rds with the DB I must say I like the Diamondback alot better.

@prchico520 I havent had a chance to shoot a 380 for years. Id love to check some out, seems like it could be a nice little light carry piece.

I am also a big fan of federal ammo for range ammo. Congrats on the new pistol and thanks for the update.
