i live in south east london and there is peckham skatepark and peckham bowell peckham libary stockwell skatepark and many stairs gaps and ledges. also you can tke a short bus ride 2 elephant and castle and st pauls aswell as many other spots around london. also yes it is worth taking a 1 not 2 hour journey to bay 66 it is a great skatepark you cant just expect to have all the great spots around you you have to find them or make them yourself

Man, London looks so much nicer to skate than Dublin.

Dublin has a hand full of spots and most of them you either have to break into to skate them or they have WAY to many people around.

It's nice on a good day, but most of the time is pretty crap.

just get the technique correct and practice the fuck out of it. dont worry if it takes ages, it will come to you eventually, i had a high ollied when i started so its not a problem i faced, but just practice it will fix anything in skateboarding, make sure you got the technique right so you aint wasting your time and just practice

theres quite a few options,

pop shuv it,

180 ollie if you can already ollie moving it will be easy.

kickflip but that wont come easy (but when you get it you will love yourself forever)

or switch ollie then youll get good at switch as you learn to skate regular too, a lot of people just skate reg and learn reg then they realise they cant skate switch for shit 5 years into it, this comes from my own experience...safe
