I saw this film today. Danny Glover is very good in it. The film is a little too long and the songs just don't cut it, I'm afraid.

Well, I think the songs are awful. The nucleus of the film was meant to be the music. Once the music fails ... the film fails with it.

Well I think the only songs that fail are the two numbers played by the band at the actual gig toward the end of the film, and having said that the band in the film was supposed to be a strung together copy of song professional act...The Keb Mo stuff and the soundtrack do not fail at all in my opinion....Cheeres my friend...
