This is easily in my top 5 all-time favorite Disney songs. And I'm a Disney Renaissance kid. This scene is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my entire life. I cry every time. For all the awfulness that Disney gave us in the 2000s, this scene single-handedly redeemed them of all of it. Welcome back, Disney; I really missed you.

We had an event based on this during our high school student's night event. Each class was given a lantern to be set offed in the sky to show our hope for a better future.The sight of the lanterns in the sky magically brought peace and harmony to all of us (since every thing was extremely noisy cause before we set the lanterns of, we we're havin a disco ^^).It surely was a great sight to see.I hope we get to have another event like it soon ^^.

i LOVE the part where she says "but the thing is im not scared anymore you know wat i mean?" and he says "im starting to" best part. also not trying to be a downer here, i love this movie and song, but i think its just a little ridiculous how theyre singing in their heads but the out of nowhere they both somehow know theyre singing the exact same song and can continue on the exact same part. just saying still an amazing movie though

@xxladybug94 There are two reasons why kissing will be highly appropriate.

First, the flying lantern ceremony was held for the lost princess which means more or less a mourning ceremony. Kissing will be very inappropriate.

Second, In the real life, such ceremonies were traditionally held in Asia with religious or spiritual purpose, in places far away from western influences where public kissing is already a big NO-NO thing. People dont kiss each other at such event.

ok so this is NOT Asia first of all lol and it's a Disney movie ;) plus, the lanterns aren't really a symbol of mourning, they are a symbol of HOPE. it's to hopefully guide the lost princess home and it did :)
