My apologies everyone who downloaded the music, the old upload didn't include the Hyperspace themes. This has been fixed and uses the same download link.
I think I -still- prefer the MOD music of the DOS version, but this one is still awesome. How can anyone possibly dislike this? So catchy, it just screams "Woo, we're in space and travelling to distant stars to explore!!"
Hey I've got a question about recording with Fraps!
When I have Fraps on, and open UQM, Fraps doesn't even recognize UQM to be a game and therefore can't record it - what should I do to make it record it?
@ONNIHOLTTA Hmmm. Cannot say I am very fraps savvy so I wouldn't know an ideal solution to fixing this. But I do have a quick question. Are you running the ported 3DO version from sourceforge or an older version that you have on a disc? I have the source port and it works with fraps.
Wow... I don't like this version of the hyperspace music as much as the original. The beginning sounds like a low-key mutant distortion of the original hyperspace music. Man, I played the original Star Control 2 on the PC, and that game's hyperspace music became one my favorite songs of all time, it is much more space-themed than this and makes much better traveling music. Then again I grew up in the early 90s. In any case, have fun traversing the stars! SC2 is awesome, play the Ur-Quan Masters.

Uhm, did you really just record yourself going into hyperspace and the flying around for the duration of the song? Lol, thats awfully primitive. I'm not sure why you didn't just download the song and then put it into a music video format.
@AndrosynthNuclear Actually I did download the song. For every other video I had some sort of visual animation, even if it was a simple loop. This is about a ten second loop of me moving through hyperspace. You'll notice the fuel and Y coordinates reset every so often. Every theme music has been done that way. I figured ANYTHING would be better then a black screen but I wasn't going to record various gameplay for just this.
From Star Control, to Mass Effect....yea, there are ressemblences.

I love the original PC version of this a bit more,
but this one is pretty sweet, too!
an admission:
before getting the .MOD of this piece,
I often sat in Hyperspace when no black blips were about
just so I could enjoy this wonderful, adventuresome tune. <3
