3D Bullet 3D Studio Max

Can you explain to me what 3ds max is? It obviously looks like you can make objects in it but does this program work with other programs aswell? EX: You made a bullet in 3ds max, can you import it into Adobe : After Effects and rotate it in 3d space and other things?

couple things. first off, im not sure if youre trying to conserve triangles or what, but this is an incredibly triangle expensive way of making a bullet. youd be better off starting with a cylinder. secondly, reference image. i dont normally put images on planes, but for bullets, especially proportionally correct ones, thats is incredibly helpful. third, most bullets do not have a spherical tip.

also, isnt N0M4D a gamer with a severe physical disability. how is he making things in 3ds max?

Cracking in the end does help companies like Adobe and 3DS max (in my case anyway, I'm sure it's pretty common). Being that I'm a student in high-school I can't afford expensive programs for my home pc but with cracked copies I can learn them before entering the business world. This way there are much more people comfortable with their software and since more people know it already it makes competition look less appealing and they have to spend less on training.

Woah, that's not quick and not even a bit easy :)

Variant 1: 0.5 hemisphere, a serie of face extrudes and some scaling afterwards, the rear plane can be done with a Make Planar option and some additional displacements.

Variant 2: (especially keeping in mind most bullets are never spherical on the end) one quick spline and lathe afterwards ;)

btw ya missed the fact that shell casing is a bit wider then the bullet itself :P

Crashcanuser, the bullet doesn't "mash up" in the air, but more likely later from impact.

Of course the bullet is a separate thing, only pressed into the casing, but this tutorial is about how to make it SIMPLE. ;)

cool but you do kno that when the bullet comes out of the barrel it doesnt look like a bullet anymore right? the lead heats up to extreme temperatures and the pressure of it moving so fast thru the air causes it to mash up. also the head of the bullet doesnt look like the hole casing. hence the shells. maybe thats just a little to in depth but im just saying. great work though.
