would of sounded alot better if the wood was thicker, 3/4" marine ply is a shit load better than mdf , but is a shit load more expensive too ! , maybe you could try adding some acoustic matting , foam , or even a few old pillows into the box, will give the speakers a false sense of being n a larger box and cut some of the "box noise" down ...... nice looking box tho :)
@THCmuzicalmasta I'm doubling the mdf sheets so its going to be 1.5", don't necessarily need more internal space, 6.1ft3 is plenty and it has a scoop that was not installed in this video, any weird noises was from improper tuning because it sounds really good now....thanks for your comment!
@trvs19 ..i built 2 -18 super scoopers out of 3/4 mdf for my dj and im not going to lie to you they are heavy as fukk....but they are worth it cause they sure rock the block/party......plus my old 2 18 on a bass reflex box have nothing on these...i love them and the people in the partys 2......peace....

the reason why its that high is so that it'll play really loud in an open area, it hits low as a normally tuned box [30-45hz] but it sounds louder
