  • Did you make this? Just curious. I love this sound and... if it's from the arcade I should fire up the mame... :)

  • This sounds pretty good--especially for Famicom. . .

Pretty good representaion of the arcade. . .I love this song as well. . .

  • I never played the NES version of Shinobi, but I heard it was awful. Is that true?

  • Yes, It's made by Tengen, a crappy unlicensed game company who port Sega Master games and put them on NES.

  • Actually, Tengen was a division of Atari. I still believe you about the bad port of Shinobi, though.

  • That's right, Tengen was Atari Games' home gaming brand label as they wasn't allowed to use the Atari name on the console/computer market by Atari Corp.

  • oh shit...the old school shinobi..I remember playing it on the pc engine

  • I want that version too

  • Same here even though some things from the arcade game got gimped.

  • Back in the day, my cousin had the Sega Master System port of this game. I actually prefer that version of the game over the original arcade version, which was hard as hell.

  • the pc engine port of shinobi was similarly very diffcult, if not impossible.

  • I'm not surprised. The PC-Engine was known for near-perfect arcade ports, am I right? I assumed the soundtrack was produced perfectly on the PC-Engine.

  • Good shit dude, I did notice a slight pause before the loop began, but as long as you hit it note for note it's all good 5/5
