You must have a lot of free time to have beat in only a week. Professional reviewers are saying that it takes more than 50 hours to beat the game. And thats only the story. Leveling up your characters, weapons, completing all side-quests, earning all trophies... this game will probably demand more time than any online shooter.

How the freaking heck did you manage to beat an FF in 15 hours? What kind of hack, cheat, or cheat device were you using?

But anyway, yes, corporate reviewers are saying it takes at least 45 hours to beat, and these are pros we're talking about. Add on all the hours of exploring, leveling up, and doing side-missions, you have a solid 200 hours of gameplay in one disc.

Well, it was post-FFVII when Final Fantasy games became the longest in the market. Most games nowadays take less than 20 hours to beat. That's pretty pathetic, compared to the monstrous 50 hours FFXIII will hold you for... of course, maybe a full third of that is cutscene. But still, if you want a game that makes you wake up with the controller in your hand, FFXIII is your best bet.

For me, it's my first ff game (I got the idea to buy it because of Kingdom Hearts), and I LOVE IT. Who cares if it is linear in the beginning? That's the good thing about JRPGs: you get to evolve through the game. The more you play, the more it becomes great. I'm at chapter 7, and I find that game AWESOME. The more I advanced, the more my jaw was getting down. If you don't like it, your loss, but try to see the game from a different vantage point.

@ChiTown98756 This is because you're supposed to avoid the battle with most of this monsters. Just follow the arrow until you get to the mines and you'll be fine. It's entirely possible to get in there without even fighting once. However, those fast little dog/lion-like things are pretty easy to beat even at your 'level'.
