  • I too lost my husband of 37 years and can identify with the words of this song, I may never get to heaven, but I once came mighty close. Miss him so much and am still in love with him.

  • hilarious song

  • One of the greatest ever. Miss you man. I hope you made it to Heaven.

  • i miss my daddy so much this song always makes me cry

  • Heaven was Brenda Rasnake from Lebanon Virginia and the summer of 1981.

Getting ready for our senior year in high school and I just knew we were going to grow old together. I still don't know what happened but I still miss and love you so very much. I will be right here and hope till the last moment for another chance. Jerry

  • @TheJer1963 After 30 years I don't think Brenda is coming back. However, I hope she does. Being a native son of Lebanon, Virginia (Russell County), I too fell in love with a Castlewood girl in the early/mid sixties. There is just something sweet & pure about those mountain girls. Good luck my friend, Ronnie Salyer

  • @sldfjkhals Thank you Ronnie. I doubt she is coming back either but I will always have alittle hope. I sure miss being home. That was a great little town. You may know me, dad was the Chief of Police back in those days.

    Thank you again. Jerry Shaw

  • @MsCuntluver Where do sick ridiculous fools like you crawl out from? Your comment is a relection of your complete ignorance.

  • This song reminds me of the day he died. IT was a very sad day..He died in my home state and town in Missouri..My daughter was born at the same hospital. I will always treasure growing up on his music..and I will forever listen to it...

  • Conway was one of the best. You're right, Paula, it's hard to peg him as strictly country or strictly rock n roll. Kind of like the Everlys in that way. I love this song. Thanks for sending, Mark, and thanks jgwalla for posting!

  • This is a really pretty song by Conway. Thanks Mark for this link. A friend of mine never cared much for country music but when she met Conway at a live show she became a lifetime fan. It's great that he has both rock & roll and country fans. My favorite song of his is "Hello Darling" and I got a kick out of reading about his experiences years ago about doing that song at the start of all his shows - especially when they played men's organizations.Thank you for posting. -Paula

  • This one has always been my very FAVORITE song of his. (But I love ALL his songs....LOL). I have it on cassette tape. It's called Conway Twitty Number Ones. I don't know where you can get the CD, sorry. I don't even have any CD's, mine are all tapes.

  • I totally agree with you!! He was the best of his time!!

  • One of my absolute favorites! NOBODY sings it like Conway!! Thanks a million for posting.
