  • I read the first comment and then the second LMAO

  • Such senseless criticisms, and rude. Obviously little empathy for what it takes to make good music, which this is. Not a great performance of a great piece. Still, it's basically decently done. When these kids get a little experience they'll do better.

  • I wrote me some symphonies. Bitches love symphonies.

  • not the best organ performance! I heard better.

  • Thank You !!!

  • @MarakanaCacak1989

    Thank you

  • Sorry, 3000 vs 112

  • @sldjaa 3,613

  • 3000 vs 119

  • Thumps up if you think garfield helpt BEETHOWEN MADE THIS SIMPHONY LOL :P

  • imagine the upload time on this video

  • orchestra isnt together... the organist is terrible... realy not good

  • @TheAleksMichel

"Why do people always compare????? - TheAlexsMichel in a previous post regarding

    musicians...

The "organ" was damaged in transit from England. Lots of keys were damaged. Being a professional, he chose to play anyway. Look McNeery up. He has serious cred.

  • what happened at 1:06:38

  • @bloodynoise666 lady in red dress???

  • is that organ thing in the original piece

  • Comment removed

  • @stoneyj024

That would depend on which piece you are talking about...

  • baroque music of ..whatever ...beethoven is god we should hear him ....being humble as we can

  • thx beethoven u really helped me with my homework :)

  • To be honest, while symphony 9 is probably one of my favorite peices of music, and i like this video because its one of the few full versions of the symphony on youtube, i found the 4th movement very rushed. It lost is glory by skipping through some of the orignial notes

  • a 110 personas no les gusta esto: de seguro son políticos ¬ . ¬

  • Damn, I can remember watching this video when it only had a couple thousand views...

  • I wouldve expected more sophisticated people to be intrested in this genre of music. The lot of you are acting like animals. I dont mean to generalize, but the majority of the comments on this video seem to be rude and uncalled for. Instead of arguing, maybe you should a learn to constructively criticize, if not appreciate this historical piece of music.

  • @behindclosedwalls Bravo, bravo.

  • I wrote a book called "Beethoven's Immortal" about who the "Immortal Beloved" really is. My take on it is that the reason nobody was ever able to find out about who she was is because she is from the future. It is a time travel story and available at Synergebooks and Amazon Kindle.

  • @RaulFepansio trololololol

  • I don't feel like this was the best rendition.

  • Guys stop talking bad about Beethovens music. did u ever know that he was deaf? he had the music in his head. had could feel it. so enjoy the music!

  • Of course the old guy gets really long solos.

  • haha. my guinea pig loves this stuff. ya thats right, my guinea pig.

  • Oh wait I think I am one of those kids -_-

  • Kids these days...

  • @themenaceanish lol you are so fail its untrue XD

  • asd

  • Perhaps the greatest piece of music ever written, I have listened to the entire piece for years, and it still brings tears to my eyes, Beethoven was and will always be the maestro

  • see the best version here..

    youtube.com/watch?v=EmV35VPRT9s

  • best way to get rid of comments regarding a certain boy singer is to just not say his name. From here on out, just don't refer to him --> at all

  • @aronsar3927 thou who shall not be named? ;)

  • Great for studying my lines in theatre!

  • Anyone who even TRIES to compare bieber to Beethoven needs to have their head examined.

  • My band played this song in second grade. I am amazing at French horn

  • @buzzsawlooey Someone's tutting his own horn! :P

  • 0:01

  • Casi celestial.

  • I love listening to this when i am studying.. it also goes great with a nice cold beer!

  • 1:11:39 HORN FAIL!

  • @conexioncone LOL... PERFECT HEARING!

Good for Beethoven that he was deaf already.

  • @conexioncone Right before the best part too. Bet that guy felt like an ass.

  • @conexioncone hahaha :D

  • Just love it.

  • Didn't watch the video, just played while studying. But simply amazing.

  • mto loko. isso sim é musica decente. nao esses funks que eles chamam de musica, que nem é. parabéns ;P

  • This amazing. Just think when he wrote this he was deaf.

  • Bravo!!!! Bravíssimo!!!!

  • ONE AND A HALF HOURS OF THIS SHIT WOULD MAKE ME GO CRAZY. im sorry but it would.

  • @prettyluvver I could listen to this amazing music (not shit. Even if you do not like it, it's still music. i.e., I hate techno, but I call it music, not shit) for hours on end, although I can see where you're coming from, it is pretty tiring to listen to this for long periods of time.

  • @prettyluvver

Fortunately for you it's only 1:25:37! Go for it!

  • @prettyluvver and why do you think being crazy is so bad? I enjoy it every day

  • Comment removed

  • Isn't just awesome that the conductor plays the organ while he's conducting? I love clssical music; it is perfect indeed anytime and anywhere.

  • Baby is a musical genius he quiets dowm when i play this

  • siete 1 branco d cazzo d malati!!!!1.... peraltro anke innervositi))

  • Did one of the horns fuck up right before the 1:11:40? Like righttttt before the big awesomeness... I'm not a trained musician and I am not extremely familiar with the music, but a (french?) horn seems to play a tad bit higher on the last 2 blows before the big epic plunge.

  • @Pawl2 I know nothing about music. But I think you are right. I don't think that horn was supposed to do that because it really sounds out of place. But I may be wrong

  • UC Davis. No pepper spray?

  • Thumbs up if your listening to this while doing homework

  • @tiny135 While playing poker ;) very relaxing

  • @tiny135 omg right! haha

  • Lovely music, just lovely. I feel so privileged and posh when I listen to it. Now, if you will excuse me, I must relocate to my living room and read the New York Times as I sip on a glass of wine next to my fire place with my labrador at my feet!

  • The best part is from 0:0:00 to 1:25:37 A total and complete ORGASM!

  • what the fuck is wrong with me? i listen since a week just songs by beethoven and stuff like that... my music teacher is guilty...

  • @TheImpinge they are called pieces not songs...

  • @tzatziki10 Music, not English, is the universal language.

  • I'd rather have an STI than beiber fever.

  • needs more cowbell

  • I'm never tired of watching it

  • There are comments about Justin Bieber here. I feel I must ask...who is Justin Bieber and why does he matter?

  • @DJSnowfall SHE is no one and SHE does not matter at all, her name is Justine* by the way

  • @DJSnowfall I agree: "Who is Justice Beaver?"- Dwight K. Schrute

  • @DJSnowfall He doesn't

  • It was a mistake to play Handel before Beethoven, as everyone would just be waiting for the symphony. But, then again, it would be a mistake to put it after - most people would want to leave. Of course, not everyone thinks this way, but still.

  • @rth4tyn6n uhm.. i think your wrong

    beethoven > justin bieber

  • If u ever compare justin homo to beethoven imma kick your ass cause justin could never be half the musician beethoven was

  • @jsowers100 half? i mean... wtf? do u think he could he be even 1/100th?

  • why do i have just biver on the top in "related" column??????? arghhh

  • Bucket-list: See this live. Kick.

  • I am a connoisseur of classical music, I was 21th. from Indonesia.

my dream is to see live concerts.

  • This is truly the most beautiful symphony ever written.

  • I saw the Cincinnati orchestra perform this in the early '90s (when they were one of the best in the country) and this comes close to it. There's nothing like seeing it in person though.

  • there should not be a dislike button for this symphonie.

  • I admire how the humans can cause so many bad things, horrible things, as genocides, wars, climatic change, but still create such a beautifull thing as it is this kind of music, and i find it really inspiring. Me with my 17 years, have found something to proud of humanity.

  • @meinfuhrer0718 well at least theres music

  • @meinfuhrer0718 I like how you're trying to interject the whole being 17-years-old thing into your comment. I think I've seen a surge of teenagers who want to seem cool on YouTube.

"im thirteen and love classical music"

Good for you, but we really don't care how old you are...

  • @MrFromUSA Indeed, but I´ve to say that i´m not triying to see cool in youtube or in real life, even i don´t care about fashion, i just put my age in there trying to demonstrate that there are young people who like and respect this beautifull music.

  • @meinfuhrer0718 I have to agree with the other guy. Except when I see a someone right something like this, I just think that they're probably a music snob who likes to gang up on people who don't know what a fugue is or who vote Republican.

  • @Rosebunse i don´t know what kind of political or social problems do you have in north america and i really don´t care, I´m Colombian (South America for those who don´t know) and as I replied to @MrFromUSA I´m not that kid triying to be accepted for things i really don´t do or like. Here we´re trying to get out of that image of DRUGS AND VIOLENCE, And i think Classical Music is the scape valve to anything, Thanks for reading :D

  • DO haendel Magnifico

  • @Deusa243 Ate que fim encontrei um ser humano com bom gosto no youtube.

  • contrabaix 42:38

  • You can all be proud.....I bet that participating in this was a high-point in life.

    Hold on to it.

  • I also always listen to this when I study and do my homework. Helps me concentrate =)

  • Justin Beaver = Dead beat dad

  • Longest video I've ever seen

  • @IrisHanniwu "justin bieber gets shot for 10 hours" in search bar ;D

  • @passion4drums Oh my god. Why does everyone hate Justin so much?

  • @IrisHanniwu It's funny

  • 1:11:40 ECSTASY

  • I listened to the entire 9th Symphony in my truck, and when it was over any other genre sounded like total crap compared to Beethoven's greatest work!

  • I'm always listening to beethoven when i am learning for university

    It helps me concentrating

  • @Itachi21x Too bad it does not help with your grammar.

  • @MutleeIsTheAntiGod

Sorry i am speaking 5 languages besides my native language, so it isnt quite easy to distinguish between the grammar

I guess you are from the US right?

Because you sound like an ignorant prick who is too lazy to learn different languages besides your native one :)

  • @Itachi21x oh yea everyone from the US is ignorant haha.. cool story bro... u bad mouthing americans... on youtube... go troll somewhere else, oh and i'm learning german when im american... there are lazy people in every country, so don't be pompous about saying ignorant people only come from america.. ur the jerk kthnxbye lol

  • @velociti92 "u" use asinine phrases such as "cool story bro" and "kthnxbye". Do you think that you are proving that Americans aren't ignorant?

  • *Or too dumb :P

  • @Itachi21x Maybe you should learn how to speak ONE language correctly before you try picking any others up.

  • @Itachi21x No idea what you mean there buddy.

  • I love the contrast between classical and modern pop and rock and roll! How did we get from these pieces to modern pieces of musical genius of rock and roll and metal?! Fuk pop.....it's shite!

  • the performance is not very good. N0.9 is too much for the orchestra.

  • @yuukagoronyan

It is a very difficult piece that requires 2 conductors having 2 makes it that much harder. In this case they both have to keep up with each other in terms of performance. Thought I was the only one that noticed. This requires the best players and conductors to make this work a no.9 is rarely played perfectly by most orchestras.

  • no feeling

  • 50 cent is better

  • Comment removed

  • @ballhockeychampion You must have excellent taste in music my good sir. Did you catch the insult? I doubt it..

  • @ballhockeychampion 50 cent has a lot of technology that Beethoven didn't have. 50 cent's work is based on this.

  • I like the piece a lot. What I don't like is the brass of the orchestra... There are many points where strings and brass are not together or where the strings fall to pieces. It's a pity :( , because it is such an magnificent piece of music.

  • it is magnificent

  • rocking out with my cock out; a little Bach to go along with my Essay writing.

  • The reason early CD's only held about 80 minutes of audio?

To record this piece of music.

  • This video is without a doubt more popular in the USA. And Europeans say that Americans have/know no culture.

  • pura vida

  • Why this is so difficult to understand? The 9th is a whole life, childhood, puberty, getting adult, being adult and being old. The struggle for what you want in life. Your will. Disappointment. Success. Disappointment. Acceptance. Clarification. At last: Understanding. Enthusiasm for what and how life is WITHOUT pathos . Simple happiness. Without embellishment. Without vibrato. Even if the Choir is the "guilt" of Schiller ;-). Ode to joy is not the place for self-representation.

  • Playstation Song :-)

  • But why does this, especially Beethoven's 9th, sound so rude and terribly out of tune? I've listened to lot of "authentic" music, but this sounds almost like a YouTube shred.

  • @Suprematisse Out of tune is to much. They were playing the notes as they are on the paper. But the soul, the understanding is lacking.

  • @djloungeX - If you must criticize, please write coherent sentences in English.

  • When a genius compose that would never be old!

  • Skip to 14:25 to the real start!

  • Perfect to play everyday at 4:20pm.

    Thanks! Evandro, Belo Horizonte, Brazil

  • Muito bom! Valeu!

  • handel's part is only the one with the organ?

  • The trajectory of my life has not led to frequent encounters with those whose sole purpose is to uplift the spirits of their fellow man. It brings tears to my eyes when I am reminded that there are some who've dedicated themselves to this end and for this I am greatful to everyone, from the composer, the conductors and the musicians, and the technical staff that made it possible for us to so easily acess these reminders. God bless humanity.

  • CoD is awesome! Just kidding. Why do people seriously do that it's so dumb.

  • Beethoven is for nerds.....like me! :D

  • @purpleluvr4ever it's true... and i'm a nerd jajajaja

  • He knew what sound was...Beethoven wasn't deaf all of his life. Mozart composed the same way, "hearing" the orchestra play in his head. Supposedly, Beethoven sawed the legs off his piano and pounded out the melody with his ear to the ground, feeling the vibrations....Let's see who in modern times can do that?

  • @fatguyonpiano

That's right. Am pretty sure he didn't go functionally deaf until his 30s. He knew the pitch and sounds all right - it's just that it's DARN hard even today to compose even a short piece without being able to play it out on instruments and listen to it yourself.

  • holy shit this is a long vidio i was cooking for more than 30 minuts and its barly 25th of the way done

  • @yoho1021 how?
