From block to tail pipe the exhaust was pretty cheap and generic. Summit SUM-G9060 hugger headers, straight pipe to turbo mufflers that all exhaust shops stock, 2.5" diameter throughout the system.
lol I love the old spoke hubs with that exhaust cracks me up...I have yet to find any good 80's grand prix's on youtube at all I'm almost finished with my 84 grand prix
The two hardest parts were finding motor mounts (frames are all the same, regular chevy ones work), and fabricating some rails to extend the frame under the car. That was necessary because the cross member wouldn't fit right, so I used angle iron to extend it out.
What tranny did you use? Im going with the 700r4 and alost of people said that i would have to shorten the driveshaft by 3 inches, and move the crossmember back some so it would fit right. Iv'e been wondering what would be needed as far as mounts, Ive heard that there are some aftermarket custom engine swap mounts that adapt depend on car and engine.
I used a TH400, just because I got a good deal on it. The frame is the same for all B-bodies, holes for the mounts are all pre-drilled. So if you're using a regular 350 block then the regular mounts will work. The frame will have to be extended to hold the stock crossmember, I used angle iron because it's strong, cheap, and easy to install.
Because I didn't do this to make a genuine oldsmobile, I did it to get experience in engine building and fabrication; such as you'd get from putting the mismatched chevy engine in an olds. It was far cheaper and suited my needs.

Thats alright. I like keeping them oldsmobile but whatever suits you. Sounds really nice though. Did you paint it black? I have an 83 black delta

thank a v8 and soft suspension for that! works even better when you have it in gear and give it gas. these will rock pretty good..

1980. Engine block is out of a 1997 Tahoe, and I bought the internals and such piece by piece.
