Yeah, tend to agree...I am now using a H&K Switchblade 50, tubes do make a hell of a difference.

Line 6 now has the Spider Valve 112 and 212. They are amazing, and it has a bogner valve. I own one and they are great.

Good job, got the song feel right except IMO the solo should feel more legato, much less picking for most parts. :)

As far as Alex not playing it the same way live, I always view solos even in cover tunes as free reign. It's YOUR solo if you're the guy playing it!

I do the original solo almost note for note but now I change the few picked parts to make the entire solo legato except to pick the first note of a phrase.

I'll post it the next couple days I have company over but it sounds cool :)

it was really, really good, but i need some hlp,

i play with my thumb instead of a pick (to hard for me) but when i strum the strings for yyz, i dont have mutch control of my thumb and i accidentally hit the note an incorrect number of times... like, instead of hitting the correct amount of times (2) i hit is the wrong ammount of times (4-7) i know none of you probaly use thumb, but could you tell me how i could fix my problem? btw, awesome videos!

i keep trying to play the song, but this might be why i cant go fast enough/hit the according notes the correct number of times... i play with not a pick but my thumb, i have a trick that lets me go fast, but i exaggerate the number of times i hit the string, so in stead of hitting the note 2 times and being correct, i might hit the note 4-7 times thus, slowing me down or hindering my playing... and do i really have to use a pick to be good?

No. But you will need one for speed. Alternate picking is very difficult with your thumb, tremolo picking almost impossible. I play with my fingers a lot, but I use a pick too, just gives you a little more diversity. There are obviously fantastic players that only use fingers (Knopfler, Beck etc.) but note that they ain't shredders.
