Ambrose is really always sweet like ambrosia, I love this orchestra!!! This sound is very fine. Excessive hiss can be reduced by wiping the record with a very soft, slightly damp cloth, but of course the record should be completely dry again before putting it back in the sleeve, otherwise you'd provoke mould.
Alma Cogan recorded this and was released as her first single. Not on here though, unfortunately,

Correct Michael, this tune is from 1932. Al Bowlly recorded it that year with the Roy Fox Band. This is a lovely version which I've never heard!

I'm not 100% sure this is 1932,does any one know?This tune in places reminds me of some music on the film "The Railway Children" for some reason!
