@markchansen it's more than likely Peter Mayer who was and still is Jimmys lead guitar player.....hes awesome and if you figure out the fills and slides and you feel like tabbing them let me know please...he also does an awesome solo in Southern Cross.

Actually you are BOTH correct: Peter Mayer and Mark Knopfler did record some of those fills, although most of the slide work is in fact Sonny Landreth, who has seriously "rubbed off" his technique on Pete. Sonny has been Jimmy's "unofficial" slide lead guitarist, both in the studio and on the road for several years now.

I was in KW stationed at the Navy Base when this vid was shot. I remember Jimmy on the island , the local music guy making it big.. Was and still are a fan of the first 5-6 lp's.That's was his prime, I feel.. No grass skirts or cheeseburgers, just rum and smoke and good music..

This just captures the feeling perfectly. Just saw JB at Citizens Bank Park in Philly on June 14; tailgated from 12:30 on; many trips around the lot to see the sights. Show was delayed 45 mins b/c thunderstorm, but when Bubba came on he played from 8:45 to about 11:15 without a break, followed by fireworks. Great setlist, closed out with "Defying Gravity," accompanied by a video tribute to Tim Russert. 61 and kickin' ass!!!

This was my first Buffett concert i ever went to, from the lawn in Camden, NJ. I'll never forget it, especially seeing this video. Life's to short to be unhappy.
