  • i saw this knife on knifecenter before it was out and the page said it was s30v. i was planning on getting until i heard it was bd1.....disappointing.

  • @vigilante1202 S30V would have been really nice but I dont think it is necessary for this knife. I have enjoyed BD1 and it has held up very well over time. I think you might want to look at it again and see if your opinion has changed. Thanks for watching.

  • how does the cts-bd1 blade hold its edge in comparison to the s30v's ect? just a curiosity as Ive just got a ukpk in cts-bd1

  • @OriginalOwner777 CTS BD1 is more like 8CR13mov... you can get it sharp but it wont keep its edge for too long. S30V has the ability to keep an edge for a long time because it is a hard steel.

  • Great review!

I never thought I would buy a blue knife, but now I want this knife! LOL

Thanks for all your 5 STAR reviews!

    Peace, Duane

  • @XDM50 Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate you watching.

  • It is interesting how different the construction is on your sprint run vs the production version.

  • @ExtraneousSolutions I agree. Thanks for watching.

  • Dude love your videos,I know you have a life and all but I'm sure everyone would like to see more vids haha. Every one you make is fantastic it just seems like your slowing down at the top of your game! Either way I'm a fan but bro you gotta get the vids out there :)

  • @MrMotorgeek101 Work has been busy and life always gets in the way. I try my hardest to get reviews out as often as possible. I have recorded another review and I am in the process of editing it all together. Look for that this coming week!! Thanks for watching.

  • Great video. Very well put together, as always! Thank you for making it!

  • @sowelu924 Thanks for watching!

  • Great review. I just have one question, I am not english and I don't know the name of that cords some people attach to their knife, i wanted to buy some on the internet, do you have some suggestion? Thanks

  • @rodrigosendas Its called 550 Para Cord. However, since you do not live in the US I am not sure where you could order some. There are many places in the US to order like Amazon but im not sure if they ship internationally. Hope that helps.

  • @rodrigosendas search for lanyards on ebay, you can buy them premade an have them send to you for around 2 euro ^^

  • wow is that ever awesome

  • @edgedweapon88 no problem

  • Looks like an old iMac G3

  • @EDCListDotCom haha yea it does! Thanks for watching.

  • Fantastic looking knife, thanks for showing it.

  • @AussieMark909 Thanks for watching.

  • great review man! this knife is honestly beautiful

  • @zThanatos Thanks.

  • I really like this knife. It is a little on the large size for me but I would be willing to carry this. I absolutely love the blue handle scales. Thanks for sharing, Keelen!

  • @LiveLoveTry Thanks for watching, Hill.

  • That is a nice color blue. Great review man.

  • @Jacktheripper2829 Thank you for watching!

  • ★★★★★

  • @TheMultiGunMan Thank you!

  • just for the looks on this one, i'm down.

  • @1IdeaAhead Good choice! Thanks for watching.

  • exellent video about a poor constructed knife. I dislike all Spydercos with pinconstruction and no adjustable pivotscrew.

  • @zwencologne The construction of this manix in nowhere near poor but you are untitled not to like pinned construction. I dont prefer it but this particular knife has not presented any issues.

  • @edgedweapon88 It looks very nice man, but it´s a collectable and not a workhorse like the other Manix.Take a look at my video where i review a Native with the same poor pinconstruction. After a while of hard work it will have bladeplay and you a problem to fix it.

  • I know this would cut down on transparency, but aside from the pin construction, I think I also don't particularly like how this one has no liners. I have this one myself, and I think it'll stay in the box. looks great, though.

  • Outstanding review, dude. You really covered it all. I'd have to disagree on a few things, however. I can only speak for my knife, but I find the locking mechanism incredibly difficult to close one-handed. Not nearly as smooth or easy as the Axis lock. The lock on this knife could be stronger, but personally, I go for ease of use over brute force nearly every time. Did you find yours stiff at first but it loosened up?

  • @MrJimbofox Geeze Jimbo! Your knives always seem to have a problem with the locking mechanism. I remember when your Leaf Storm had a sticky lock. My Manix is probably the smoothest knife that I own and it came like that from the factory. How do you think it could be stronger? Thanks for watching.

  • @edgedweapon88 By "stronger" I was mainly referring to how much tension mine has when it comes to the unlock.

  • @MrJimbofox Your going to have to try my Manix sometime. I think it has a little more tension than your typical Axis lock.

  • Thank you! I was thinking about that knife for some time, now I know I will buy it :)

  • @ManFromHongKong828 Thanks for watching.

  • Pro review dude!

  • @KhunAlronan Thank you!

  • I like how thin and light-weight this is, but my translucent blue Manix 2 had a dull edge. This is the first Spyderco I've bought that wasn't amazingly sharp right out of the box! Almost made me think, "is this a Benchmade?!?"

  • @alric71 That is not good. Send it back to Spyderco and have them sharpen it for you. Thanks for watchnig.

  • why is the top of the tip of your mini-grip different than mine?

  • @TheMotorick My mini Grip is a 555HG. Benchmade makes different versions.

  • gourgeous piece K.

    congratualations.

no coments on the review.high quality as always!

  • @yukiotakata Thanks for the kind words.

  • Good knife review.......served the blade justice. Look forward to more. Thank you.

  • @poopchukkar Thank you!

  • mine is amazing, and one the waterstone i got it retarded sharp, it does tend to roll but doesnt chip, great steel, its been my edc for three weeks now, i would love for spyderco to make a few more color options!

  • @thomassmyth65 Thanks for watching.

  • the camera shots are amazing!

  • @asilaydying1984 Thank you!

  • Nice knife man. I was looking at getting one but decided to save the capital for the Orions... haha they turned out to be expensive to fund :/

  • @PRSpl4yer I can imagine! Im sure they will be well worth it once they are all finished. Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate you watching.

  • I always thought this knife looked very cheap when viewing small photos from online knife venders but your video really does this knife justice, its looks beautiful. great job on the lighting and the video quality is amazing. great review!!! 2 thumbs up

  • @Probablyshouldnthave Thanks so much for the kind comment. I appreciate your support and thanks for watching.

  • Great review! Very informative-particularly about the steel imo. I would like to ask, though, if given the choice, would you purchase a delica (ffg) or this lightwieght Manix. I plan on using it as a carry knife while mtn biking (carried clipped in the waisband since I don't have a jersey) as well as backpacking and edc. Just thought I would ask your input since you own both of them, and I'm having a difficult time deciding :) Anyways, thanks for the great vid!

  • @4thatdude1 Thank you for the kind comment. The decision between the Delica and Manix is a hard one for me. I have 5 Delicas so it is no secret that it is one of my favorites but the Manix gives it a run for its money. Both are equal in weight, lock strength and capability. In my opinion it comes down to what size knife you want. If you are worried about form factor and want something a little smaller - go with the Delica. Otherwise, I would suggest the Manix. I hope that helps!

  • @edgedweapon88 Wow, thanks for the help :) I think I'm going to go with the Delica- for compactness and a lower price tag, in addition to vg-10's better rust resistance.

  • Man! I have the G10 version but this one looks awesome, thanks for the review!

  • @TheBgcheez Thanks for watching.

  • @THE13EARJEW the Dialex junior.

  • It's gorgeous. Nice review.

  • @TheLateBoyScout Thank you.

  • Great review! I'm keeping my eye out for a Manix...The pinned construction on this one gives me pause....Although, I have an original Endura that is pinned and has never given me issues. Thanks!

  • @DocTacDad I feel the same way about the pinned construction. It has never given me a problem but it still bugs me. Thanks for watching!!

  • primo steel

  • @The10MMmaniac Thanks for watching.

  • Very nice review.

  • @biguy525 Thank you.

  • I just did a review of this knife recently. I agree with your thoughts on this model. Great video again Keelan. Your videos are high quality. The white background really makes the subject of your review stand out. Nice and sharp.

  • @TaonariX Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate you watching.

  • I want one so bad

  • @THE13EARJEW Thanks for watching.

  • @edgedweapon88 Couldn't resist!:D

  • @THE13EARJEW I want the junior.......

  • @Daninja42 I'd get the XL if I could lol

  • You and Jimbo should stereo review the spyderco junior.

  • @Daninja42 Thank you for the suggestions. The Junior has been on my want list for a while! Thanks for watching.

  • @edgedweapon88 I would get it, but it's way to epensive. :( think I'm gonna order the delica tonight :D

  • planned on getting this one myself soon , but use the steel a bit more and then give us our opinion you should come to conclusions on steels you are unfamiliar with on your own

  • @staticx2552 I have used this knife for 3 months and I told you what I thought about the steel in the review. It has held up extremely well. I only researched what CTS-BD1 was comparable to so that I could give YOU a better idea.

  • @edgedweapon88 ungrateful viewers piss me off. thanks for you input Edgeweapon88 and for your videos.

  • @crack818 Thank you for the support. I appreciate you watching.

  • Thanks for the info, far as I'm concerned my knife buying process starts on yer channel ;-)

  • @hempseedaddict Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate you watching.

  • Beautiful knife and excellent review as always. Great stuff!

  • @lazydogdied Thank you for the kind words!

  • For us knife noobs... what's the advantage of a full-flat grind?

  • @jeffshootsstuff It is mostly personal preference. However, a full flat grind is a better slicer and since I use my knife in the manor most of the time that is what I look for.

  • Once again with the vintage porno funk! ^^

As always though, a very good review.

  • @903lew That is the best part! Thanks for watching!

  • hey bud i just wanted to say one thing about the size comparison maybe you should also use a credit card besides the other knives because Ive never seen held used any of those knives right beside the one on the review i just think that might be more helpful for first time knife users but otherwise amazing review!

  • @ManMrKrazy Thank you for the suggestion. I will try and include that in future videos. Thanks for watching.

  • Very nice presentation!! That is one pretty knife! Excellent review as always Keelen! Thanks.

  • @Mr45Bullitt Thanks for stopping by, Bill. I appreciate the kind words.

  • I drive by spyderco everyday...I need to stop in sometime.

  • @6thMessenger Your very lucky for being so close to the factory. Thanks for watching!

  • Great honest review Keelen! Outstanding!

  • @guitarmikey2 Thanks for the kind words, Mike!

  • This is my new favorite. Particularly the weight and steel of the knife.

  • @ryansgr8 Its a great knife. Thanks for watching!

  • @edgedweapon88 also the translucent blue hides really well in a blue jeans pocket.

  • Amazing review

  • @irulemuch Thanks!

  • Thats super sick. Keep up the great videos :)

  • @AlbinoTowTruck Thank you!
