  • close enough to a shank haha im pretty sure its off the leading edge of the club because its open it shoots straight right. thats why its looks like a shank. i do this sometime an its not off the hosel haha.

  • he has one of the worst chipping actions ever

  • cool story bro

  • listen with your volume up. he says "shank"

  • @redralph By George, you're right!

  • Looks like he got a shanker sore, I get them occasionally too, LOL!

  • Sherman

  • Shankopotamous!

  • Chipping - The reason he lost the masters

  • he just got lazy on one

  • first shot is prooo :P

  • 76000th viewer :)

  • @gtamissions06 93,357 viewer :)

  • shanked it

  • Not a shank, bladed it for sure...super easy to do when you're hitting that shot with the clubface wide open...if you look closely you can see the bounce of the club hit the ball

  • @zjc884 Im not sure if he shanked it or bladed it but I do know it could be either because he is opening the face way up to get the ball high coming out of the rough so I would think it would be easy to shank and blade it from there.

  • haha i watched miguel angel jimenez do this at the practice round of this years us open... and he put a cigar in his mouth and smiled and was like oh well it happens

  • To me it looked like he had the club face open

  • @TheMaster640 of course he had it open. look at the type of shot he was trying to play...

  • Perry Sux!

  • The most terrifying shot in golf, is the one you play right after shanking one. It gets in your head.

  • @chriskeenan1 If you're as bad as me, you never worry about the first one. It's after the second one that it's really in your head. Two in a row and you just assume the third one will be a shank and set up for a draw instead so as not to present anything to shank with.

And then you hit a closed-over trapped quacking duck.

  • @daw162 LMAO I know the feeling so well. I know a guy who can't even bring himself to say the word shank. He calls it "the dreaded S.H." lol.

  • Thats just a pro going through the motions dummies, he would never do that in a PGA tour event.

  • HHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH

  • @hazzle34 lmfao

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • Thinned it (bladed), no shank here. Doesn't go near the hosel

  • @cockywatchman1976 SSSSSHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Out of that rough, mishits are the order of the day.

  • looser

  • he shanked because as soon as he hits it he says "shank"

  • love his composure after his first ball. didn't even hesitate

  • That's definitely not a chip shot....

  • he bladed it. the leading edge came off the ground.

  • He definitely had some tempo issues on that first shot. As you very well know... a slight increase in tempo at the wrong time can do this. He sped up just slightly, causing the club face to remain open at impact, and push the ball (close to the hosel).

  • That's a shank; the sound is unmistakeable :(

  • Show me a good golfer and I'll show you a lonely family.

  • i think he did that on purpose as a prank. good one kenny:)

  • maybe, but this is why i think he top it, look carefully and the 1st shot, you'll see him kinda look at the target already nearing impact, his head was ready to turn left and to be picked up, and then the second shot, his head turns a little left but eyes stay on the ball, not the first shot the club head doesn't sink in as much as the second one, thats why i think its a top, im not sure though

  • @helenathena respectable reasoning but i think because it shot out so far to the right it was a shank... i dont think the world will ever know what really happened on this fateful day haha!

  • @helenathena

its a shank.....thats what happens when u shank a chip....low and right....if he topped it it would have still gone straight.....right off the hosel

  • @helenathena Watch how quick he rushed the club on the downswing thats why he hit it with the bottom first then watch the next two swings for speed and that tells the story.

  • @helenathena He missed the hole by at least ten feet to the right. It's a shank and the result of screwing up royally when opening up the club face for a pop up shot.

  • @helenathena false. it definitely hit the hosel

  • @JCough2012 I don't think it hit the hosel. It seemed like he opened up his club wide to pop it up and right before impact lifted his head, blading it in the direction his open clubhead was.

  • @helenathena

its a definite shank, a top would have popped up, plus you hear him say shank anyway

  • oh shank!

  • @cleaverer84 Yeah man your right. I've been lucky enough to play golf with Lucas Glover, Ben Crane, and Charles Howell in the past couple years. I've talked to them and a few other guys on tour about handicapping. They all say +6 will get you on tour if your nerves don't get to you haha. I'm a +3 and I got waxed pretty good by all these guys. So nikepumps123 has no clue lol.

  • @greenjacket12 Spot on. I've had similar experiences and it's about +6 to +8 for the average pro. They shoot low 60's day in and day out on their home courses.

  • This Mother fucker's a pro????? Im a 4 handicap, and i don't do that shit. what's he -3??? pro golfers r ovr rated.

  • @MrCircus177 Mr. Circus thats a little scarey, hide the kids everyone.

  • @billygolfs50 Damn, u like look at everything i post don't u? Geta life.

  • @MrCircus177 If you were really a "4 handicap" you would know that after scratch it goes to +1, +2, +3, etc, not minus

  • @wogolfer haha, you got to saying it before i did. damn. but really, @MrCircus177 is retarded. he's just a hater with no talent.

  • @JCough2012 U know what i think is funny? U guys LOVE to talk about me. Im so fuckin Flattered.

  • @wogolfer i know i realized that after i posted it. oops

  • @MrCircus177 He's probably closer to +6. If they're overrated, then why don't you practise, go on Tour and make millions? Good luck hitting the two chips he hit directly after the shank by the way. You clearly lack talent.

  • @cleaverer84 Im clearly not good enough for tour, and neither is anybody here. And kenny perry is not a +6. probobly around a +3.

  • @MrCircus177 You have no idea what you're talking about. If Kenny Perry was an amateur he would be off +6 easily. I've played against people off +4 and +5, and they aren't ready for the Tour yet. If you played against Kenny Perry only getting seven shots, he would dish you out a dog's licence.

  • @cleaverer84 Ok u keep tellin urself that...

  • @MrCircus177 dude, youre a fucking faggot...just leave this video alone because youre clearly wrong about everything youve said...go get a life and some anger menagement.

  • @JCough2012 Ur the FAGGOT that needs anger management... u fuckin Hypocrite. u go get a life. Ur fuckin fake.

  • @cleaverer84 nah man.the first thing you said isnt true, tiger at his best (2000-2001) was a +7.2. average tour player is between a +3 and +4, its in a henry brunton book i read.

  • @nikepumps123 Firstly, I am not talking about something I have read. I am talking about people I have played with as an amateur and things that I know. If you are off +3 you would only just make it into the Walker Cup side (maybe), with the top players from either team usually playing off about +5 or +6. And the guys off +3/+4 aren't as good as the average Tour pro. Fact. Secondly, Kenny Perry isn't an average pro - he's a multiple-winner who has played Ryder Cup. So poke it up your shit-box.

  • @cleaverer84 i think this might have to do with hadicapping and slope, cause theres a difference between shooting 70 on a course rated 74 and shooting 67 on a course rated 71. whatever maybe im wrong, just something i read.

  • @nikepumps123

=3 or =4?? thats a joke right?? the best amateurs are better than that.....theres a million mini tour guys who play better than that....Tiger was calculated to be a +10 in 2000 just to correct ur statement as well

  • @MFBueno63 like i said. it depends on th course your rated at. if tiger is a +10 does that mean he's gonna shoot 58 on an easy course everytime? no. and if your a +4 the way you say so many people are, are you going to shoot 72 at augusta? no. i think the handicap system is useless depending on the courses you play. and i just checked the book and it said 8.4. maybe its real herd to judge at that point?

  • WHAT A LOSER!

  • @sethy2004 lets calm down...

  • @JCough2012 NO, I WONT CALM DOWN. HE IS THE MOST PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A GOLF PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND

  • @sethy2004 my goodness.....you sir....are a douchebag of such magnitude that you could cleanse a whale's vagina.............if he was such a terrible golfer. HE WOULDNT HAVE MADE THE FUCKING RYDER CUP TEAM WOULD HE??..OR HAVE MULTIPLE TOUR WINS

  • @Thealbatrossking OK? Congrats, you made the Ryder cup and you scored last place.

  • Comment removed

  • @sethy2004 you are so right

  • Great to see. Makes me feel better.

  • They are human..lol

  • shanks piss me off

  • ''I shanked it''

  • I like how he quickly hits another two balls after it, just to prove that he's not that bad.

  • @hazzle34 LOL right on

  • @hazzle34 hahaha so true

  • @hazzle34 he doesnt have shit to prove tho. just hit another to get tht bad swing thght out of his head

  • @hazzle34 lol doesnt everyone?......o.o

  • omg big time lol

  • i do this all the time

  • Thats what happens when you try to open up the blade for a flop shot and end up taking it inside.

  • @tarzaniac9 Exactly.

  • Happens even to the best players in the world..

  • IL3TH4Lxxx

How do you just assume you would beat a guy you've never met?

  • haha. some people are just arrogant a-holes. lol. thanks for having common sense!

  • what did he say?

  • if you use headphones, than you can hear him say he shanked it at 0:04. I taped this and it was really noticeable there. there was a few other people watching behind me too that heard him say it.

oh, this is my other account btw. thats why im not on the channel you see from this video.

  • Wow i would quit

  • haha, you are funny. do you ever leave your video games to golf?

  • haha. lol

  • hahahaha

  • I didn't hear him say it!

  • if you have ear phones and turn it up, but it is really hard to hear...it was a lot better there though.
