  • Great footage :) @blazerrips if you did swim out and got sucked up in that it would dump you miles away on land probably so best not try it lol ;)

    god...what are u doing :D

  • @BoneHandProductions thats not god doing it..

  • Thats a nice one there big too like that stovepipe looking waterspout. The one I got in Florida in 2009 was rope like.

  • I'm at once incredibly fascinated by twisters and so afraid.

  • whats that sond?!

  • It seems like a tornadic one

  • This is a great video. I have been to Croatia 3 years ago. Beautiful seaside villages. I was in Split , Zadar and Pula.

  • i want to see a video of a person getting sucked up by a water spout and spit out thousands of feet in the air to the water

  • @lootordie emm i dont think soo.. lol

  • WOW! = O

  • Hard to tell if its a harmless waterspout or a tornadic one - which are much more dangerous.

  • @DarkFilmDirector whats a tornadic one? :O

  • @slimeball222 Well, technically, both 'fair weather' waterspouts and 'tornadic' waterspouts are both tornadoes. But, the difference is 'fair weather' tornadoes are not formed by mesocyclones, which is what a real tornado on land is. 'Fair weather' spouts can form without a storm at all, just needs a certaing type of cloud. A 'tornadic' waterspout is basically a tornado on the water and they are much stronger and more dangerous than a 'fair weather' waterspout, more likely to kill you!

  • exciting :)

  • jump in there fooll the waves are so cool

  • ja bih bježala glavom bez obzira ;-) Ovako je lijepo gledati, ali uživo...

  • what the??? it doesn't even look like it's moving or spinning at all!

  • daj brojem da bi se usro malo. nikad jos nisam vidio ovakvu u hr

  • Wow, that is beautiful structure on a waterspout. I can only imagine how that thing wouldve been if it made landfall. Great video!

  • ISUSE!

  • I'm from Croatia, and I understand what are they saying. This is amazing, I never thought we have it too in Croatia.

  • Simply beautiful, congrats!!!

  • just....amazing!

  • In my countrry we call this "pijavica" ....leach...

similar by shape and by function (sucking).

    Best regards,

    Mladen, autor of a video.

  • Na Braču, južna strana, prema Hvaru, podno sela Murvica.

  • Gdje si to snimio?

  • man that beast is Huge....., gotta love it

  • Nope, it's real. It was documented by the Croatian National Hydrometheorological Institute (DHMZ) and there are footages of it from different angles (other islands) in the archives as well. These things appear on the coast every year.

  • it'll pull you in a break your bones lol

  • what would happen if u swam up to it?

  • Was this caused by an actual supercell thunderstorm

  • fuck that thing is fat

  • @japeneseanimegirl22 It's a real tornado...

  • lol it would be soo cool if i swam out got sucked up and it threw me like 150 feet in the air and i landed in the water unharmed lol

  • @blazerrips91 that's it 150 feet? more like 1000 feet lol

  • @john5743 X3 funnnnnnnnnn

  • @blazerrips91 yea....except for the whole lightning thing @0:30

  • i would love to paddle out there....get in the middle of it. i saw a few once when i was about 10, it was on maui...

  • its beutiful!

  • Waterspouts don't really come to land, but they are dangerous for ships out in the sea though. That's where it could get dangerous for people.

  • Waterspouts are like tornadoes except with water. Tornadoes have dust and rocks flying around, while waterspouts have just water.

  • and fishes

  • Pause at 0:29 & see the lightning strike.

  • :S That's just big, scary, and very bright. That's all there is to the bolt.

  • That must have been awesome to see in real life

  • Uhh bravo majstore za snimak, ova pijavica je predobra ;)

  • How is this fake?? This is on a real video camera.

  • Wait water is being suck into it

  • Yeah. It's huge though!

  • you don't see these everyday

  • Predobro!

  • THATS SCARY!!!

  • It's kinda scary looking. It kinda looks like a phathom on water. I heard from some that they are destructive then I heard they were not. I dunno what to believe lately, but I wouldn't take my chances being near one lol.

  • They are distrutive espically if your on a shit since its water and Wind sucking you up it the air then spits out somewhere eles I would be terrified to be suck inside one espically in the middle of the sea.

  • uh.. you mean a "ship"?

  • (This is a reply to Zilege) I thought that same exact thing, and I really don't want to be near one either. They are scary, period.

  • holly shit

  • That is one of the largest waterspouts I have ever seen.

  • omg....dobro da ste ostali zivi...=)

  • is this not dangerous?????

  • Taking video of any tornado and not hiding is dangerous

  • not so much as america's tornados

  • okay i live near a little town caladonia and thier skools got DAMAGED

  • DAMN! That's a HUGE one.

  • 2 min 38, three vortices??? What happened after the video ended, looked loke it was dispersing...

  • it's forming into a waterspout

  • Hey you're right! That water spout did last a very long time!! I saw one out when I was crusing out to Jamaica once and it only formed for only 10 seconds then it died! This one here must of been a very powerful waterspout!

  • After 2 mins, you can def see multiple vortices. Amazing close up of ribbon style twister, must have been rotating v.fast as outer funnel looked at least 25m wide. F2 maybe?

  • no: after lighter storm, the sound come around 8 sec. so, twister was at 2 Km from camera. (sound speed = 340 meters by sec)

and so, i think it was an F3 at least because of the scale: seems very huge.

  • Tornadoes are rated by damage, not size. A tornado of this size could be anything from F0 to F5. Waterspouts are usually weaker than normal tornadoes. Most often equivalent to an EF0. This is probably weak. If it was equivalent to an F3 much faster rotation would be evident.

  • Tornadoes are rated by damage, not size. Because this is a waterspout it probably isn't any stronger than an EF0.

  • the cameraman was right, this one picked up speed/energy ... man, this was huge for a friggin waterspout

  • this is the most amazing thing ever....it's like an out-of-water whirlpool

  • OMG!!! i would b screaming my head off!!! and y is that spout putting water into the lake!?!

  • Nice, an actual tornadic waterspout! I have always wanted to see one, but all I have seen are those fair weather waterspouts...

  • Tornadoes and tornado-like things scare the hell out of me. They're the closest things that we'll ever see to giant monsters. In fact, I demand that Japan make giant robots to fight them, and defeat with FLAME SABRE!!!!! ....to avenge the death of a master, ninja clan, or temple.

    .....I completely digressed there :(

  • yeah, ok.

  • I never seen a waterspout before, but it's beautiful, and this is quality excellent

  • i have been on island of korcula when this happend u woodnt belive me what was going on there because i was whit my scouts in the woods in the midle of the nowhere we just saw a rain what destroyed our flag cloats and the ting u sleep in when u are in woods i donno hwo to say

  • my sister and her ex witnessed this...I still have the photos they gave to me, on my wall. Wish, I'd seen that for real!

  • How dramatic is that??? Must have been an incredible experience to witness it.

  • I'd freak if I saw that! xD

  • Wonderful! Cumulonimbus had the appliance in its interior, lightning and rain free base, is a tube of clouds wonderful, I would love to get inside a tube of cloud like that wooow fantastic!

I love singing cicadas during waterstpout, is a wonderful insect is fantastic!

  • B E A U T I F U L !

  • It would be cool if the waterspot just stopped all at once and all that water came slamming back down into the ocean. I'd be like 'WOOOAH CRAP' XD

  • ali vidise da je ova prava svaka cast

  • Very very nice video... xD

  • Nije mortirano, gledao sam je u živo. Zadnjih par godina ih je bilo dosta ali nikad ovakva velika. Poslije je krenula prema Vidovoj gori i raspala se.

  • you jus hatein

  • looks real to me...

  • momci, sigurno u Dalmaciji ima pijavica, ali ovo je fotomontaza. Nikad nisam vidjela pijavicu koja stoji na jednom mjestu.Ona je tako brza, da vi to ne bi prezivjeli!!!

  • dawg thats real

  • Zakon! To je pravi tornado!!

  • kakva snaga, impresivno u svakom slučaju

  • Its not photoshop!! I saw it from my house!

  • I dont't think its photoshop...

    It seems real.

  • you're an idiot

  • I have been on holiday in the area a few years ago. But there something like that seems ... quite big thing. No boat hopefully was outdoors...

  • its an enterence & exit for alien spacecraft to go into their caves under the ocean without detection during the daylight. thats why there are never waterspouts at night. I have seen them in my fathers ship in the gulf of mexico before once in 1998 and once in 2004. Its not very fun I have never been out on the boat since and never will again.

  • You are Full of Shit about Aliens and waterspouts. you have been watching too many Movies along with playing with your ass and sniffing your fingers..

  • The cloud is fucking the underwater cave!

  • why isn't it moving

  • Beautiful!

  • that is an amazing video. Never seen one so close before.

  • Oh brother!! Those things exists in Croatia?? You know, I think once something simmilar happened in Serbia, but in the land, of course. It was 5 years ago during summer storm, and it last some 4-5 min

  • What an amazing video. Looks like the water is pretty bare, so it's great to just watch the beauty of these things. Crazy.

  • Yes, the water was pretty bare, no wind at all around. Just crickets sound and sssssssss sound from waterspout (you can hear it in a background).

  • are you fuckin kidding man, if there was one boat out there thats a human beings life

  • ovo je bilo na bracu, pokraj bola

  • Thats it is from Croatian iland Brač 2006

  • that freakin huge!

  • Amazing footage. That thing would've caused major damage had it come ashore. It looks like it was at least F2 strength. How often does this happen over there?

  • Not very often... once in few years... and they lost strenght ashore. I was real lucky to be there on the place and in time to see one.

  • i always thought these things were cool

  • yikes!! where u scared?

  • Thats a monster spout.

  • Just incredible!

  • magnificent footage. it has an odd sort of peacefulness about it too. did it ever come ashore?

  • No she doesn't...she split just after last frame.
