In the Special Features section, Flemming distances himself from Zeitgeist by stating he didn't use 'The World's 16 Crucified Saviors' as a source, like Zeitgeist did. I too heartily recommend his writing--it's funny, original and brilliant. I'm sorry I never had a chance to know Alan better. I wish I'd taken his advice and applied for a graduate degree under him. Not that a M.A. in Folklore will get you much. It does qualify one to ask the deep and pointed questions like, "You want fries with that?"

But the time I spent in his classes and chatting privately changed my view of the world more than all the rest of my courses combined.
