@newscaster13 Its interesting that KCBS has a history of Anhcors reuniting together
look at the current KCBS crew they are people from KABC that reunited together. in the 1991 its Michael Tuck and Bree Walker reunited together after their time at KGTV in San Diego.
Tricia, if I remember right, help pay for Schubeck's funeral (I believe even the full cost) when he passed away several years ago. Schubeck was practically penniless by the time he died; Toyota told a story in the paper that he lived pretty extravagantly throughout his career.

This was the first year they used that "2" that looked like that they would've use it in 1991. Looks very 90s-ish for '88.

Looks more like the WTVJ open when they switched from CBS to NBC at the same time, too.

KCBS is copying the late-80s opening credits to CBS This Morning (now the Early Show).

Moreover, this is the reunion of John Schubeck and Tritia Toyota; both from their days anchoring together at KNBC (NewsCenter4 and News 4LA).
This is John and Tritia's second go-round as anchor team, but at CBS2.
