I've played the games, seen the movie, but I was very disapointed by the movie, the original song was missing, the actor doesn't look a like with max, the actor from the movie Logan's revenge looks with max, in my oppinion, I was very dissapointed, I don't know
Seems like the director (who turned characters into shit, lupino, mona) and the writers (story-slaughterers) are the only ones to blame. the cinematography is excellent and so is the whatevers it's called, scenery, weathers effects, outlook.

I think if they ever re-boot MP(which they should!), they should use Airon Armstrong. Great actor/stuntman. If you watch his action reel, there's parts that show him looking like Max in the first game and some that show him looking like Max in The Fall of Max Payne. And his voice usually sounds like Max's speaking voice in the first game(when he's talking to people). But that's just my two cents.

I doubt by what i've seen that they even too much any difference. A change of characters name or swaping for another also does nothing too. I beleive if it were more a flashback movie as the game was more and had none of the other stuff that was not from the game, which major reviewers complained about, then we would have a nice film for all after REAL technical improvment and light change from plot summeries of the game alone.
I don't see a quality change, just randomizing of it's source.
This is because technical improvement means summerizing from gameplay hours and the obstacle element, only using the core, though in order unlike this film.
Change in general didn't mean it did anything for the better, it's only to push off embarrassment on the film makers.

Not exactly, It's not illegal to edit the film any way I please after I own it. It's just against copyright to put the film on youtube, which is unfortunate because it won't allow me to post it on youtube. How can you edit a film that has already been edited though. You don't have any extra footage to work with so what would you be editing? The only thing you could really do is shorten the film.
It definitely is possible to re-edit a film. Editing is a major process of film making and can actually effect the mood and pace of the film. Yes I also did make it shorter, by about 40 min and yet the story plays off better then the actual release did.

You guys expect way to much out of game adaptions. If you wanted an exact replica of the game, they'd either make another game or some youtube fan would take all of the FMV's put 'em together and call it a movie.

Well I Loved the Movie I thought it was a great adaption. I was just talking about everyone else who was disappointed. I mean I had a few disappointments of my own but nothing major.
I also thought Eric Mabius could've played Payne. He looks a lot more like him but Whalberg did fine.
If you want to find out how they managed ruin Max Payne, checking out an interview with Zack Snyder is a good hint. They wanted him to ruin Watchmen in a similar way. "The kids are gonna love it" He did it the opposite way! He should have made Max Payne too.

The same way there was that crazy bloody-level in the game, the director decided to put mosnters in it just to show another way of getting into the drug. this didn't changed the storyline at all. It still reamins the same, only different.

Not exactly, It's not illegal to edit the film any way I please after I own it. It's just against copyright to put the film on youtube, which is unfortunate because it won't allow me to post it on youtube. It's really too bad because it actually turned out great and I'll never be able to have others see it.

How can you edit a film that has already been edited though. You don't have any extra footage to work with so what would you be editing? The only thing you could really do is shorten the film.

It definitely is possible to re-edit a film. Editing is a major process of film making and can actually effect the mood and pace of the film. Yes I also did make it shorter, by about 40 min and yet the story plays off better then the actual release did.

You guys expect way to much out of game adaptions. If you wanted an exact replica of the game, they'd either make another game or some youtube fan would take all of the FMV's put 'em together and call it a movie.
Besides playing the games aren't going to help the acting.

Well I Loved the Movie I thought it was a great adaption. I was just talking about everyone else who was disappointed. I mean I had a few disappointments of my own but nothing major.
I also thought Eric Mabius could've played Payne. He looks a lot more like him but Whalberg did fine.

If you want to find out how they managed ruin Max Payne, checking out an interview with Zack Snyder is a good hint. They wanted him to ruin Watchmen in a similar way. "The kids are gonna love it" He did it the opposite way! He should have made Max Payne too.

Why didn't they actually just play the game then make the film? They could of then captured the sense of what the film should have been like.
I bet the writer of the script played it, but not the actors/directors/film editors. A shame really.
Well they tried their best I guess. It still sucked. I just couldn't really care for the characters.

Umm.. Either I'm misunderstanding you, or you misunderstood him..
What he said was that he had no idea it was based on a game until after he finished reading the script, then they told him and he was surprised. Because the games he used to play were games like pacman etc.. and they had NO story worth mentioning. So he concluded that games have changed quite a bit.

The same way there was that crazy bloody-level in the game, the director decided to put mosnters in it just to show another way of getting into the drug. this didn't changed the storyline at all. It still reamins the same, only different.
