@dumalucky As a mathematician, I can tell you you're only partially right. Time isn't the fourth dimension so much as a "projection" of higher dimensions into 3-space. That's why if you ever look up a hypercube, it's always presented as a looping animation: adding a time variable is a great way to model a 4d object in 3-space.

Physics) so that they can just use extra-dimensional math equations instead of re-writting the formulas as "t" because it would be the same formula anyways... The square only sees a line, first a dot which later on expands to the biggest diameter of the apple and then closes again to a dot and disappears.

So if they were created/born on a different planet, they would have gone through dimensions 1-5 (evolution) in their atmosphere and they may look just like us or they could look like ant people or they could look like reptilians or they could look like tall grays or small grays or they could be double the size of us

If these beings came to our planet they would be able to manipulate our senses on such a large scale that we could look at an apple on a table and believe it's there even if it's not. We could go and touch this apple and believe it's there even though it's not and we could bite a bit and taste it even though we're not tasting apple, we're tasting what we've evolved to believe is the taste of apple. We would know no better, but the beings around us manipulating r sight and senses would obviously.

These beings would also be able to manipulate things on a MUCH larger scale than we can like wind, sea, light, desert, etc. Once we evolve to the 4th dimension, no one knows what it will look like, because our human brains have only learned to evolve to the point where we can manipulate sound, light, 3D objects to a CERTAIN extent, but we c in 2D. Seeing in 3D would mean that not ONLY would we see the apple on the table, we would see through the apple and through the table at the same time. I don't know how to explain whether or not we would see the red skin of the apple or the flesh colour or a mixture of both but I can't begin to comprehend how our other 4 senses would be altered. I believe that we would not be able to go back to seeing in 2D once our minds awaken in the 4D. That would be De-evolution which i find hard to comprehend.

We find this hard to understand because living in the 3D, we would shout down to some1 in Flat Town, 'Yo you lot down there look up'. I would love to hear how they would explain this. We can choose to evolve or not. @MrcVirus Actually no, our eyes see a flat image. Because we have two eyes we get a depth perception, which is an illusion of 3D. A TV shows depth too but its still a flat 2D image which the brain interprets to have depth even if it doesn't. True 3D vision would allow us to see the backsides of all objects all the time, just like we can see all the sides of a square at the same time.

The apple crossing flatland appears to be time unfolding itself in cause and effect but it's really a 3D object descending or ascending into the flatlanders' perception; as they couldn't point to the 3rd dimension or conceive a 3D object they would call up/down "time". And so, in the same way, although we can't conceive a 4th dimensional object, we can call that dimension "duration" and understand that it's stretches infinitely at right angles to the 3rd.

Sorry guys thats not how other realities exist side by side. The realities of "dimensions" are not in shapes we can't see but in a higher living faster pace called a frequency and the rates all vary and there is no simple answer for most to understand this because we are in a slower realm. @apfot Hi, yes, but as we know time is considered the 4 dimension.. it really is not helpful to talk about a fourth 'spatial' dimension.. 3d space and time are something we do have a grasp of and are 'listed as such 1,2,3,4, so I would have thought it helpful to cover those first then speculate about the theoretical '5' dimension.. having 2 completely different dimensions covered under the same title of a fourth dimension is sloppy . or should we call time the first 'time' dimension?

@dumalucky As a mathematician, I can tell you you're only partially right. Time isn't the fourth dimension so much as a "projection" of higher dimensions into 3-space. That's why if you ever look up a hypercube, it's always presented as a looping animation: adding a time variable is a great way to model a 4d object in 3-space.

@dumalucky Time is not a dimension. In this video he is talking about the spatial dimensions... Some scinces use time as a dimension (ie. Physics) so that they can just use extra-dimensional math equations instead of re-writting the formulas as "t" because it would be the same formula anyways... Time is not a dimension in the way that this video, and most people, are speaking of when they say something like xth dimension.
The fourth dimension is very much real as space, not time, in stringtheory
