  • Thank you. Your tutorial is very helpful. I'm new to dizi and music in general. How do you select which key dizi to purchase. I think in one tutorial you mention that any key flute can play any major. G dizi is more easily play D and A majors. What is the advantage of each key dizi? If I buy a D dizi, which major I can easily play with a D dizi? I'm looking to buy my first dizi, but I don't know which key to select. I'm looking at carrotmusic and easonmusic. Do you have any places to recommend?

  • Great videos many thanks for posting. Do you have a web address for a good place to purchase Dimo and Er Jiao? Many thanks

  • this series should be very useful to help me learn

  • A question: I don't have a dizi, but I was wondering, if you wanna like clean it (inside and out), will it affect the dizi in anyway? Like the sound?

  • Thanks for this great tut. Your dizi tuts help me a lot. Keep up your good work. :-)

  • hey great job do u have a grade?

  • Thank you very much for sharing this information!

    It is much appreciated!

What is a dimo (you mentioned it being on your mokong) in english?

What is the mokong needed for? Probably an air exhaust for flute sound?

  • where is part2?

  • thx.

  • 梆笛... not 邦笛 ...

  • Very helpful and informative! You rock!

  • what is the name of the song played at the end of the video?

  • @IMPaulyn I can't eiver would it work just putting your finger over the hole instead of tape stuff

  • hay thanks a lot for all your videos, they have been really helpful to me. :)

this is really embarrassing but i just got a alto d major dizi today and i've applied the membrane with wrinkles and such like instructed...but no matter how hard i try to form a sound i can't make anything even close to a note, could you or someone possible tell me what i'm doing wrong?

is the flute meant to be hollow from end to end? as i found that the top half of my dizi is blocked off. hmm

  • Thanks for great tutorial.

  • You're not supposed to hang it upside down for the saliva to drip. It'll jus get blocked by a piece of wood to the left of the blowing hole-.-

  • just saying but it wld have been damn fucking creepy if the image in the mirror behind suddenly turned and showed her face hahahaha

  • Am I the only one who can't get mine to make a sound?

  • @IMPaulyn nope ;)

  • lol i play the western flute =.= WAD, NO NEED TO CLEAN DIZI 0.0||||

OMG, Then.... would it be dirty or...wad...=.=
