It's perfectly legal to assemble a Hackintosh. You're just breaking the EULA, but that's not the same as breaking the law. Basically, what happens when you break the EULA is, you lose any kind of support from Apple, because you're using the OS in unsuported hardware. But that's it.

See I dont get this. One of the main reasons why one might want to build a "Hackintosh" is to save money on a Mac, but yours comes just shy of $1000, so for that you might as well just go buy a Mac.

Just as a note, it is possible to install Snow Leopard without an intermediate installation.

Just use Empire EFI.

I got an extensive guide on how to install SL and to get everything working on a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5.

Well the guy making the video says he's using an efi-x chip. The efi-x chip emulates itself to become a mac. A hakintosh is just a computer that can run the mac Os.

If you look on the EFI-x hardware compatibility page it says the system will not work with AMD. This is because the parts arent' the same as what's on mac motherboards etc etc.

Hey guys, if your not doing so already you should use an 'efi-x', It allows you to legally setup mac software on your pc. You can also do a MAC UPDATE too.
