i'd rather have that than nothing at all. Its probley the closest i'll get to going to alot of these concerts, since most of them are over 60 and do less than 100 shows a year.
I saw him live in 1991 and I must agree, he is the consumate performer, had everyone dancing. If you'll notice that he is playing a Gibson ES330 in most of his perfomances, not a Les Paul.
Yes! This man was a Terrific singer! Soul, Blues, Rock, Ballads -- he made smash hits in all these genres. And he's still powerful today. One guy, Van Morrison, is in the same league. Also a very, very underrated Les Paul guitarist. Easily the better all around artist compared to Elvis. Having seen both, no one ever bested Elvis, but Rivers came damn close.
Swaying to the Music is another song that could raise the dead.....love it. thank you for posting this.

No disrespect, to Elvis, but vocally, he was no Johnny Rivers. Just listen to that voice.

I agree. I'll listen to Johnny Rivers over Elvis anyday.

Johnny Rivers, is the best. If he had only recorded "Poor Side Of Town," he'd be remembered. Thanks, for responding.
