@gingerspice451 That photo was taken the day he rec'd his JC award in Jan. 1971. There is footage of him signing autographs outside of the venue crowded by fans and friends and I think this photo was snapped at that time.

@gingerspice451 In fact, some of the details of this photo have been taken out. In the original photo, his reflection could be seen in the roof of his car and he was wearing a pale blue shirt and black jacket w/ a gold lion medallion around his neck and holding a pen in his right hand.

Priscilla had him at the tips of her fingers, she had him begging ... over and over and over again, song, after song ... She could have not saved him, but she could have made him last a little longer. SAD !

@meralyt Believe it or not, not all emotional songs Elvis sang were about Priscilla. He was just that good to make you believe that every song he sang came from deep within his heart and had to be from his personal experience. Even early Elvis music demonstrates this. His interpretation of songs was always brilliant and true to the music and lyrics.

@meralyt I have to agree with 22Cilla: EP was just a master at interpreting songs and could deliver a performance that seemed like he had lived the experience. Such a brilliant and one of a kind performer, but don't think that all of these sad songs were directed at Priscilla (although I do think later on he did have her in mind when he sang some of his tear-jerkers). But in 1970, he was just singing his heart out b/c that was what he did best!!!!!!!!!!!!
