  • Okay buick

  • Wood? Lame.

  • Buicks are now German.

  • @plutoamun you mean Chinese?

  • the engine on the 2009-present Buick LaCrosse/ Buick Allure (Canada 2010 only)

    Engine

    2.4 L Ecotec I4

    3.0 L HFV6 V6

    3.6 L HFV6 V6

  • Americans need to buy American cars to put the money back in the Economy so you can stop complaining about recessions and Bail outs.

  • That is true. The reason why we express buying things made in our own country is because the currency will be better managed. The flow or circulation of the currency will also be balanced as well. Home grown products sustain us better while we help other countries with farming and agriculture.

  • Nice -

  • cobalt probably has the worst ride quality out of any chevy car out right now but im not sure if the sedan has a better ride than the coupe

  • @victoriadish don't worry about it. lol. the cobalt gets replaced by the chevy cruze later this year. that'll be a good day.

  • @ssj4goldengogeta

Not really. The SS disappears with it, sadly.

  • @Sephirius well you never know what GM is gonna pull out of their asses in the future. I mean a few of the competition for the cruze have performance models, so they might pull something new out.

  • i have a 2005 LaCrosse much better then this crap.

  • @67tr876 hahahahaha i bet it is

  • Buicks and Chevy's are the biggest piles of junk.

  • @Batmanshack How do you figure that?

  • And they say that the Honda Accord's dash is cluttered...

  • Wow! a car that is ugly than an Opel Insignia. And probably with worse materials. At least it should be cheaper.

  • 5 series look a like to me

  • And this is why I stay with cars that are 30 years old or more

  • اعجبتني رايقة جدا

  • البيوك اعجبتني .. رايقة جدا

  • BBKIngGibson, you are an idiot if you can't see see the quality of this car. By the way it has already beat the competing Lexus in every test I have read. Despite Crdon9's issue with the power steering (if he even owns one) Buick is consistently at or near the top in dependability studies. If I had to choose between this and a runaway Lexus I would clearly choose the LaCrosse.

  • joe is too cool for this car

  • So GM and the UAW arrive at the cliff, peer over the abyss at insolvency, re think all their historical idiocy and come up with this. Looks like they hav learned nothing. Pretty car but the substantive vehicle has not changed from prior crap cars. This is meant to be a Lexus killer - what a joke.

  • @BBKIngGibson yeah, you're right. engine, suspension, transmission, body, and interior aren't "substantive" elements of a car. very insightful.

  • @BBKIngGibson I know. 5 years from now a USED Lexus ES will be worth DOUBLE a USED Buick LaCrosse. Why? Because it's a better overall vehicle. And I don't like Japanese cars! That's how bad GM is.

  • @DJFG85 Take a look at GM now. You must be stuck in the 90's...

  • @caddyman07 No, I used to be a GM loyalist. I recently test drove the new Ford Taurus SHO and THAT is a great car. The only American car brands worth my time are Ford and Jeep. GM is total garbage and will continue to be. No country can perfect the automobile like the Germans can. Let's just accept it.

  • @DJFG85 NOOOOO!!! Im sorry you feel that way. I agree, Ford has definitely been biggest turn around brand (and company) among the American cars. I can only say to you, sit back and watch the show as Cadillac continues to transform. To your comment about no one perfecting the automobile like the Germans, did you see what the current CTS has done to its competition? (especially the Hi-po "V" version)

  • @DJFG85 Chrysler is barely staying afloat, and Jeep with it. The Taurus SHO Is nice but way overpriced, but GM was reach sustainability soon and Ford will continue to do well.

  • @jpride1127 In a recent Car and Driver test the Buick LaCrosse ranked 2nd to last behind the Lexus ES and Hyundai Genesis. Mind you the new ES is due out next year and will further destroy the already outdated LaCrosse. I gave GM so many chances, owned a few, and now I'm done. Never again.

  • the Lacrosse is so much cheaper than either car just being in the same class is winning.

  • @DJFG85 I actually like the Hyundai Genesis. I have to retract on a couple statements. I think Chrysler will do fine in a few years. The new 2011 Grand Cherokee is flawless in my opinion, and I am ranking it higher than the Cadillac SRX I was planning to buy new year. I still want to buy American. All in all I think the American car makers will do fine. Especially GM & Ford.

  • @jpride1127 The Grand Cherokee is an amazing car. The design of the new one is flawless. I don't mind American cars as long as they are not taxpayer, made in Mexico GMs! The nerve they had to ruin the historical and prestigious Saab! Down with GM!

  • @DJFG85 well some fords are built in mexico as well. but if i remember correcly, the 2012 ford fusion will be built here in the U.S.

  • @jpride1127 he says the new ES will be out next year. didn't it just get updated this year for 2010?

  • @ssj4goldengogeta As far as I know the ES received a facelift this year. There is a new 2012 model due out, but thus far I hate every Lexus I have ever seen. Compared to american cars, they may have nicer interior materials but the interior design is boring and unimpressive (to me). And the outside just screams Toyota

  • @jpride1127 if you love american interior designs along with wonderful interior materials, please check out that new Lincoln MKX. I love that interior.

  • @DJFG85, well if you are referring to Chevrolet as GM then yeah.... there's nice GM cars (Cadillac, Buick) but every single Chevrolet model minus the Corvette and Camero is junkyard fillers.

  • Only to look at but Not to drive. Power Steerings..is a serious..

  • not a bad car, but i wont get it with so many options in the market nowadays..

  • I bought one and regret it. 2010 with a Power Steering Problem Already.

  • Don't like this car, well thats just my opinion. I'd buy a Lexus, although there are recalls. however they have a fix anyways..

  • your mother looks like a piece of shit

  • First Toyota built a better Buick, now Buick builds a better Lexus!

  • interior looks super ugly

  • GM has done it right with this Buick I rented one as well as compition and this Buick is the Best Warranty is excellent

  • MY EYES!!!

  • OPEL INSIGNIA COPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! look at the interior!!!! almost the same, also exterior lights etc.

  • @MultiTranceboy Не,это лучше Инсигнии,намного лучше...

  • look at the front facelift and interior....its same .both GM

  • ну это да,но все равно Американские автомобили очень красивые,взять даже кадилак,ни с одним европейским авто не перепутаешь и уж тем более с японским. А что касается бьюик ла кросс,то все равно в нем есть индивидуальность

  • That's because it's the same car. LOL GM owns Opel.

  • im 23, i'd drive it . . . tigers pimp slut ass likes buick

  • Comment removed

  • Good idea Redmond, spend $10k more for the vehicle Car and Driver best described as "a great way to pay too much for a Camry." Not only does the LaCrosse match the ES equipment, but it has a superior warranty as well.

    You sir, are brilliant.

  • Lexus is nothing but a glorified Toyota.

  • @Aquasolat thank you!

  • they shouldn't pay this bastard to talk about this car. he doesn't know what he is talking about.

    --

    Sent from my Helio Ocean

  • i believe is inspired by the riviera concept shown in shanghai a few years ago... a chinese american chief designer tho

  • Bad presenter! You should change your job , dear!

  • If its made in China I'll buy it for 15k or less max for a new one. You know honestly american cars aren't bad..honestly. The only problem is the depreciate so fast and even though repairs are cheap, its not cheap if you compare how many repairs you need to do compared to say a Honda Accord or a more luxurious German/European car like BMW, Audi, or Jag and those cars depreciate less than this.

I just wish american cars didnt feel cheaper (improve its quality) and didn't depreciate so fast.

  • its a chinese carhehehe

  • Humm.. This is based on the Insignia right, or is the other way around?

    Nice car though :)

  • I dont believe that this is based on the insignia. I know that the saturn aura is based on the insignia and this lacrosse is a different platform that the aura. Ironically my dad has the aura xr and is thinking about gettin this.

  • The new Buick Regal is based on the insignia.

  • I stand corrected

  • Also i seem to remember the front fender/wheelwell vents being on the 1987 GNX, way before any m3.

  • this is the only buick i would buy its just to damn sexy

  • Y are american car companies copying euro companies in style. i have an 04 bmw 745 08 impala 09 avalanche and i rented a lacrosse 4 this holiday everyone thought it was a lexus at 1st glance. its nice but y didnt they re vamp the lucerne that has been the more luxurious out of the 2 in the past

  • You forgot the 4th GM era: copy Lexus/BMW styling.

  • I cannot believe the bigoted US-yahoo comments on this video. The DESIGN comes from GM China, asshats!!! The car is MADE HERE in the USA. Either way, it US owned AND BUILT.

Stoopid rednecks ruining a video car review with their right-wing BS SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!

  • its not a buick if it does not sport the red/white/blue logo. look like a lexas or a toyota. BUiCK.

  • I was refering to the parts that they use for some vehicles. They are made overseas. I'm not saying it's good because American jobs are lost to it. Idiot

  • idiot = englo-saxxon american pushing comminist china product, to achieve global dictator.

RESTORE THE REPUBLIC. support the 1776 constitution. WAKE UP people.

  • better than toyota lexus.

  • Very good car. I would trust it

  • esta bonito el carro, me gusta sobre todo su interior bien nice

nice car the interior looks very very confortable 5/5

  • I know the release of this new model is being delayed because of quality issues, but at least they are fixing them. Honda Civics from 2001-2003 had severe transmission problems and never did a recall.

  • What a lot of people don't know is that Buick has been making the most reliable American sedans for years. The Park Avenue, Century, LeSabre, and LaCrosse have consistently made Consumer Report's reliability list. In 2005, the Century was named the most reliable mid-size sedan beating out the Accord and Camry. Buicks also get pretty good gas mileage for their engine size and their designs have improved greatly. Buicks are more reliable, cheaper, and get better gas mileage than Cadillacs.

  • I find all these comments funny. This is not a real Buick. GM used the Opel brand in Europe to disguise this as a Buick. The new Opel Insignia has been available in Europe for 2 years. The Opel car is produced by Germany but is now being sold to investors from Canada and Russia. The Buick is a rebadged Opel.

  • American car companies do this all the time. For some reason, the cars sold overseas by the big three always look better. Ford has started to take its designs for models sold in other countries and use them for their American models. Anyway, designs and platforms are always shared across makes within companies and partnerships.

  • GM cars in Europe are also known to be more reliable and have better quality, so I see no problem with GM bring their European designs here.

  • it's all European cars...not just GM.

  • You can't be talking about the European cars sold in the US. According to JD Power and Associates and Consumer Reports, some of the least reliable vehicles come from Europe. Actually, American cars in general are ranked in the middle while European vehicles are ranked below. Mercedes Benz's reliability is atrocious compared to much less expensive vehicles.

  • I was referring to the look of the car, not reliability. Obviously we have the more reliable cars we drive them much more than they do.

  • Sorry, I misunderstood. I agree, the European cars have better styling.

  • It's okay, I wasn't clear on that.

  • that's funny we have 2 benz e classes for many years now with excellent reliability.

  • I'm sure someone out there has had a Kia for 10 years without hardly having any problems. The consumer companies count how many problems have been reported per a certain number of cars, it doesn't mean that everyone is going to have problems.

  • Oh and it also depends what year your cars are. On Mercedes forums, owners complain that the newer benzes are worse than the older ones and not every model of every make is good or bad.

  • one is a '91 & the other is 2004. any other questions?

  • @rayj778

Nope, I already explained myself. There was a vehicle (I can't remember which one) where 25% of those cars had electrical problems, so it was rated unreliable compared to the average. 75% of the owners had no electrical problems; but there was still a 1 in 4 chance that you would have problems with that car which would be too much for me if I were looking for a car.

  • @meisha210: when i have the money or win the lotto: it''ll be a S CLASS BENZ FOR ME.

  • when you make a statement check your facts. The insignia and the 2010 lacrosse and the saab 9-5 + the upcoming Buick Regal are based off of the GM epsilon 2 platform, and when it came out both the Insignia AND the Chinese Buick Regal debuted at the SAME time and were both based off of it. Plus the interiors and exteriors of both the lacrosse and the opel are styled muchhhh different. .

  • I just purchased a Diamond White LaCrosse and the car is fantastic. GM is back on track! Before you decide take a test drive. Lots of car for the money- it starts at under $28,000. No- I don't work for GM!

  • yeah the white ones are so nice

  • I love this car in pearl white and fully loaded

  • how bout supporting american manufacturing.. why give your money to some foreign corporation?

  • Because its cheaper to make shit overseas. So companies do it to save money, then most of them pay their workers shit too save even more. Sucks eh? I wouldnt trust the shit that comes from China even if it was the only place that made shit. Thats all China makes; shit.

  • so are you saying you rather give your money to the foreign company because they produce it cheaper? i dont care what those foreign people get paid, its not my problem..if everyone stops supporting american products our economy will go to shit.. you keep buying more and more foreign products and it costs american jobs. america once produced 80% of the worlds goods (after WW2).

  • hi

if you want to understand why america lost is production jobs to china you should search youtube for

    What is a Central Bank

    also search for zeitgiest 9/11

  • @bigmanbigkid Just like the American car companies "Shit" huh!

  • You should check your research first before bashing. It's made in Kansas City.

  • No sir. Fuck you. Buick has more history than just about any other car company. They have been one of the most dependable luxury brands ever. So fuck toyota.

  • lol nice car for granny

  • Wow that is a busy dashboard. And it's as big as Lucerne now. Love the Buick quietness, though.

  • Really is an outstanding car

Over the years Buicks have been very reliable, and by the record better than Mercedes and 1000s of dollars less.

  • yeah its nice put the Opel emblems back on it and take those ugly Buick ones off

  • Absolutely stunning looking car. If only I had the money...Haha.

I don't know much about Buick reliability, though. Gorgeous vehicle, though. :)

  • I first thought aligning w/ China won't suggest quality or status, but the world is changing. Maybe Buick is ahead of the game. Mercedes & BMW began designing for USA as we bought more of their cars than Germans.

It's a beautiful car, but Buick will have to launch a serious marketing campaign. I'm talking product placement in 'Desperate Housewives' & repackage their "known as" for this Honda Accord meets Mercedes E.

Don't make it too affordable or Americans will assume it's cheap.

  • Yeah it´s a beautifull car. And no need to worry about quality. This car is egineered to 98 % in Gernmany by GM Europe / Opel. ;-)

    Check for Opel Insignia.

  • 27k for the base black on black would be sexy

  • saw this car at the javits center in ny and my mouth just dropped ,,,a stunning car ,,great interior,,pricey for a buick but it looks like a good buy ,,i drive a 02 bonny sle and it breaks my heart that pontiac didnt step up ,,biggest mistake i felt was changing there cars to g this and g that ,,lost their identity,,got rid of their flagship car (bonneville),,it should have turned it into what this buick has become and too many other cars that the younger gen. didnt want or could trick out

  • Dude your so lucky. When I used to live back home my pops and I used to go every year. Unfortunately, its a long way to the Javits center from Orlando. Bummer.

  • I like it but is it built with quality? America is starting to get the idea that quality is key i think they started to loose that around the 70s 80S with greed!Making cheaper cars trying to gain more profit has caught up with them.Lets hope this car holds up after 10 15 years and not fall apart like door handles stop working windows jump off track air bags goin out transmisions go out etc.I think the japanese made gain from that.Just build a good solid car for the money and not cuttin corners!

  • what?

  • Hell yeah! This is the direction GM should have took 10-15 years ago. Then maybe they would have a strong hold on the auto market an saved a lot of jobs. Damn I hate to say too little too late. But, Is what it is.

  • ok i'll give GM the respect for stepping up Buick but I still think Pontiac would've done just as great had they put the effort into it like they did this Buick.

  • I have to say. Buick has come a LONG way. I couldn't believe this was a Buick when I saw the commercial on ABC. Good job Buick, this car is fresh and one of the nicest cars on the road.

  • Got damn, you all see that nice custom video screen job. Damn Buick, its your birthday get busy.

  • Thats a nice ass Buick. I like what the guy said regarding what General Motors can do when they put the money into it. That couldn't be more true.

  • i hater to say it, but the demise of pontiac will benefit buick

  • I agree and ss far as Pontiac is concern, I'm surprised they made it this far. Economy collapse aside, they should've been gone years ago.

  • They needed Pontiac because they were GMs performance brand. Don't tell me they shouldn't have made it this far. Do you see how many Pontiacs are on the road today? I see more of them than Buicks, Saturns, GMCs and Caddies.

  • Surely you're not insinuating the volume of Pontiacs on the road is an indicator of it's value. In this case, it's a matter of cheapness and being easier to obtain from a dealership then a new toyota, honda, nissan etc. Commonly used for first time buyers at dealersand super cheap cars in used car market. Everyone that drives a pontiac didn't necessarily want it. Everyone driving a toyota wanted it.

  • But you're changing the subject matter. I said you see more Pontiacs than other GM brands, and now you're comparing them to imports. Imports are the reason why GM cut Pontiac, competition.

GM just didn't take good care of Pontiac. Their lineup finally started getting good but a little too late. The G8 wasn't enough to save them I guess.

  • I see your point now. Their G8 is a very good looking head turning automobile but like you said it's too late.

  • Finally its available..!! i will be a proud owner in a few weeks... Ive been waiting for this baby to hit the streets. this car is gorgeous. luxury under 30k is wonderful. the interior is top notch,, especially at night this car will look beautiful with the blue lighting.. Way to go Buick

  • I'm 25 and I would not be ashamed to be driving around in this car. It is a beauty. How it performs however is a whole other issue and I would have to test drive it. AWD is a nice option. Until I test drive this baby, I won't be able to compare it to a Nissan Maxima, Infiniti M35/45, BMW 328, etc.

  • hahaha, owned

  • They actually designed a Buick I'm not ashamed to be driving.

  • its 27K on the buick website

  • 35K to start for this over done crapola. They wont sell many at that price.

  • Over done? Thats kinda counter intuitive to the argument you were trying to make.. I dont know about you, but I like to get more bang for my buck.. Over done sounds fine to me..

    Especially starting at 27K

  • They will start at around 33k and thats for the low end model. Drove one, not a bad ride but it has some things not all that great for that price. Overdone? yes, wat too many cockpit features that take a lot of navigation to get used to.

  • I almost bought one of these, until it just came out that due to quality problems, there has been a halt on their production until October.....Good luck GM and hope you can repay my tax money you and the government mismanaged.

  • Still grandaddys car. period

  • How?

  • Buick plain and simple. Same gay outline as there previous cars. Sapposively a game changer for the company haha no thats gunna be a rude awaking. Bet you only 120 cars outta this whole line is sold within a year. Genesis now thats a real game changer. Ballin style, more agile better handling more shit included more base horse power more reason to buy an actual car. Especially interior wise you can't beat a leather wrapped dash PERIOD.

  • First of all, this the first all new Buick in 20 years. Hell yeah this is a game changer. Sure it doesn't have a V8 or RWD but keep in mind the Lacrosse doesnt compete with the Genesis. That is Cadillac's Forte and they do it quite well. The Lacrosse is supposed to compete with Lexus. I'll have you know the Average Lexus buyer is 61. Buick's is 40. You want to do a little research before you make stupid statements? It'd make you more credible.

  • Dude your gay and so is this car. Period.

  • Nice comeback. You totally proved your point, douchebag.

  • Hey no problem bitch. Enjoy your shitty car.

  • Thanks, I will. :D

  • lol pussy.

  • As long as I know the truth, that's all that matters to me. Drive your hyundai, I honestly don't care. I like Hyundai, but I like buick a bit more. They have more history- especially being one of the first car brands..ever. You wanna whine and bitch about my opinion? I dont even give a shit.

  • obviously you did cause i egnored your ass but you still replyed LOL + man its still a buick and still fuckin chinese + this car honestly has no balls V8 Tau genesis = 385 bhp of whoop ass lol this cars a big joke.

  • you didn't ignore me, you called me a pussy.

    and...

How is this Chinese? and for the last time.. the Genesis does not compete with ANY Buick. Compare it to Cadillac then try to talk shit bro.

  • I will and ill prob win pussy. LOL

  • then let's hear it

  • stregaboy stop being a douche and move on.

this car is by far the best buick has ever offered in a long time. PERIOD

and if you feel this luxury car isnt good enough for you then oh fucking well; stick to your fucking hyundai and move the fuck on.

  • Design DOES not cost a lot of money, engineering does! You just need a few great designers- a drop in the bucket in developing a mass produced car. If you design something that people like, they will buy it. The engineering is not difficult, after all, it's still a gasoline internal combustion engine. Look at architecture, you can have great buildings, and crappy ones, but the design fees are pretty close. Great design doesn't have to be complex! Talent is what it takes!

  • Gawsh I wish I could get this car !!! I need money, LOL !

  • Beautiful Car. Great Job GM. It may look like a Lexus but it don't cost like one! Don't you idiots who are slamming it like to save money???

  • if anything lexus took it from buick a company which started in 1903

  • yeah, go through the world and fake some german cars in hope to get them sold ^^

  • a car almost to 100% developed in germany. Known as OPEL INSIGNIA American engineers just did a "copy and paste job" and modified to the US / chiinese needs. :-)

  • And who owns Opel? GM.

  • opel insignia has nothing on this

  • you have need to get your eyes fixed. Finallly I know what I WORK FOR. :-) And yes Opel is owned by GM. It´s their most important competence center... that´s why the don´t like to sell it :-p

  • When Bob Lutz was saying that Buick would be come the Lexus of GM I had no idea that the plans was just to copy Lexus' styling. Not to menton the new read end looks nice but it still mimics the recent Acura TL. A front wheel drive Lexus GS lookalike to compete with Lexus' badged Camry (ES). Good move from a business standpoint though & much better than the last Lacrosse.

  • OMG GM is the best!!! GM is rising and Toyota is falling lmao
