I remember back in the early 80's my family had a condo in Mammoth West about 200 yards from warming hut 2. I always knew when to wake up because of the charges going off. I would get all nervous..LOL!!!
This is an awesome video. I am a firefighter and S&R Tech and think these guys are the unsung heroes. Good work boys. If you have more post it quick quick!!
yes but the biggest thing is learning to ski like them then basically remembering the codes and rules amd where ppl shouldnt ride and all that so yea u could say it takes a lot of training
@massivechicken01 Ski patrol has to be some of the best riders on the mountain. How can they save someone if they can't ski to them. Its not about remembering the codes thats a tiny portion of their job. They are saving lives daily you fool.
@DeadlySoul123 lol that comment was made a year ago when i was dumber and more passionate about not entirely liking skiers(i still don't but not as much lol bc i snowboard)but also when you think about it everyone is saving lives daily without even knowing it lol
I'm a Mammoth regular and must have watched the video hundreds of times and still love it. Thanks the for insane amount of work that Mammoth patrol does starting at 4am each morning doing the storm and avy cycles. And also be sure to support the Eastside K-9 avy rescue dog program that Sean in the video is getting built up.
Sick ive always wanted to go to mammoth...i live in BC Canada and ride a resort called sun peaks....it is pretty big but not as big and gnarlie as Mammoth...thats one hell of a good edit
Big thanks to the MM ski patrol for creating a safe environment to enjoy skiing and boarding. Awesome job guys!

pretty cool. The 5AM wake up call is probably the most brutal part about the entire clip
