  • Heather grows about as high as a little tea-pot, short and stout?

  • wow !! sounds awsome :) i wonder if he makes it look fun or something, i want to do it !!!

  • What kind of education do you need for this job?

    I'm seriously interested!

  • This is a part of my PhD, so I guess that you would need a BSc and possibly an MSc...The actual collection isn't difficult, it's the subsequent analysis that requires the education.

  • dirt!

  • I hope there is a bigger longer video xcoming soon about this because I want to know what he thinks!

  • We shot quite a lot of stuff, so maybe NottsScience has an extended video somewhere...

  • I happen to be a Geology Student in the United States and this was an interesting video due to its interaction between Geology and Biology on how soil plays a major impact on plant growth. I'm interested in seeing how this project turns out.

  • What's so important about this bush?

  • 7 minutes on the topic of dirt ...it was fascinating. such a fine job!

  • dirty job

  • So was he actually allowed to take the soil from their? It sounded like he had to hide it after.

This job sounds interesting! Plants all the way!

  • Haha! I was allowed to take the soil away. I had permission from every landowner.

  • Loving the Army men with trees anecdote :P

  • This video soothed my big loins

  • If he's traveling that far all on his own he should be using the train. Save the environment!

  • Yeah trains go to all the remote locations he needs to go... not. Just a 4 hour walk from the train station! Don't be silly.

  • Looks like an intersting job, but man would it get boring if you were by yourself.

  • "get on your hands and knees, part it, get the job done"

story of my life... I wish!!!

  • Hahahaha

That was such a classic "that's what she said" moment!

  • I'm can't say when this was filmed,

but just so you know, it's been baking hot here in Wales over the last few days, =]

  • Whoops. Sorry bout that. I have a huge list of criteria that determines which heathland I use. One includes a very limited rainfall band. I just meant that it rains too much in a majority of Wales, or it's too mountainous, for my research. I love Wales...my parents live there.

  • 250 times wow thats dedication

  • thats a tedious job there man. but he looked like he's having fun. the secret to happiness is doing what you like?hahah
