@Frost3784 no, he probably got sepsis from a rupture in the intestines due to the blockage.....ive worked in the operating room for years and thats just how you have to do GI surgery. you have to pull it all out so you can see what your doing. actually, for any surgery done in the open abdomen the intestines are pulled out....including ob/gyn and open urological procedures

The patient was only put on an oxygen mask and was breathing on his own. There was no proper intubation of the airway which is a standard in modern abdominal surgery. He was only heavily sedated and muscle relaxant was not given. If he vomit due to bowel obstruction, he can have aspiration pneumonia.

This patient might be lucky to have a chance to undergo surgery in this rural country. Was that a war zone?
