we've hatched them outa incubator alot, chickens, bramas, gueani fowl, bantis, geese, pheasents, ducks ,quails and lots more. its great to see them hatching. quails are so tiny when they hatch. im sure u all know how big a quail egg is.
They hatch themselves, if they don't then they're not strong enough to survive -chances are- and so there's no point letting them out of the egg in the first place.
Hatched out 6 almost a month ago! need to put pics... they are soo cute! and friendly! my girls :) they will lay an abundance of eggs someday! unless they all turn out to be boys! then... I guess we will have to enjoy them now, eat them later. :)
how long does it take for them to hatch in a incubator my mom is done this incubator thing two time and it wasnt work for her maybe shes doing something wrong can you help me out giving me some tips how this should be done.
are you using eggs you know are firtile (stores bought at the grocery store are NOT firtile) is the temprature at about 99.5 F? are you turning the egg 3-4 times a day? and also is the humidity at 60-75%? if no to one of these, then that is why. also you should have clean hands before touching the eggs
im incubating 6 eggs right now for my first time and im using my friends self turning incubator it keeps at 99.5 very well but the humidity is all over between 80 and 40 and wont stay constant. how crucial is it to keep it at 65 like is it bad if you go over then under as long as you dont stay under to long they should be ok right??
I agree, but I am a vegitarian who is very shortly getting chickens and I can assure you that most backyard chickens have wonderful lives as free ranging members of the family. Don't mistake factory torture with homes which have provided a lovely life for these amazing animals.
Beautiful video, cayutasun. Watching a hatching never ceases to amaze me.
Born to suffer? These chickens are living the life of riley. Acres of pasture and brush to roam, scratch, sun, crow and always a font of water and bin of feed--if they're not up to foraging--make these birds much luckier than most debeaked, declawed, confined-in-8-in.-cages factory birds.
Go little guy!
