correct. when you put in volume this is a LOSING play by vanessa and a winning play by clonie. poker isnt about one hand.its about making decisions that over the course of thousands of hands will win you more money than you lose. its like AA vs 22. AA is going to lose to 22 20% of the time. thats fine because AA will win 80% of the time. so over the course of say 1k hands you will win 800 of them.
it was a trap that went wrong it happens no one played it completely badly, i mean if you flop a straight and you wanted your opponent to catch just enough to call you, you would push all in right away true players never risk it all until the river unless they have to. once again a trap that snapped back it happens oh you can do is say oh well shake it off and move on
moving in on the turn over the long run is a LOSING play because u lose value. vanessa was a 4-1 dog on the turn. shoving on the turn is like going ALL in with pocket aces preflop when facing no action before you.

Wrong. Pushing on the turn will only get her called by a better hand. Or perhaps AK. But everything else folds. This is results-oriented thinking at its finest. If you have 2-pair and think the other player has just one pair, you do NOT want to push them out. You want to keep making bets that will get called by 1 pair. Getting drawn out on occasionally is just a risk you have to be willing to take.

I don't agree at all. If you play A4 and ur opponent has AK. What do you do if the flop comes A4K? You go broke because you played Ace rag. Also, the chances of you catching a miracle flop are also extremely low. And how often will you flop Aces up when ur opponent has AK? Not often enough to justify playing that garbage hand. Only time playing Ace rag is a good idea if you're opening the pot with a raise from late position (preferably from the cutoff or button).

i had a simular situation last week in a big cash game. i had A3, flopped A and Rivered 3, the other player had 2 pair. the difference was, i went all in after the river and won a lot. the 2 pair played it wrong too, didnt push me out before the river, tried to get more out of me. lol

Wrong. Pushing on the turn will only get her called by a better hand. Or perhaps AK. But everything else folds. This is results-oriented thinking at its finest. If you have 2-pair and think the other player has just one pair, you do NOT want to push them out. You want to keep making bets that will get called by 1 pair. Getting drawn out on occasionally is just a risk you have to be willing to take.

its a close one,players say i think i have too call all the time -then think some more then say "i call",but the tone that vaneessa uses definately implies she is calling now,clonie says i have 2 pair -so this is more imformation to use to make a call,by saying i havent called yet,maybe they should use buttons like on the internet

same here. but you can't play a/rag ALL the time, once in a while i guess its ok, b/c its that much harder for your opponent to put you on a hand once the flop comes a/7/4. u can play it if you are SURE u can fold a pair if u kno your outkicked.

I don't agree at all. If you play A4 and ur opponent has AK. What do you do if the flop comes A4K? You go broke because you played Ace rag. Also, the chances of you catching a miracle flop are also extremely low. And how often will you flop Aces up when ur opponent has AK? Not often enough to justify playing that garbage hand. Only time playing Ace rag is a good idea if you're opening the pot with a raise from late position (preferably from the cutoff or button).
