For those who didnt get what happened:

Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) officials demolished Mr Patrao’s house and acquired seven acres of land belonging to him for the expansion of the Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL).

The protestors alleged that the officials acquired the land without showing any court decree. They also said that valuables, including gold ornaments, were looted from the house during demolition.

Shame on our politician who have never faced this in their life and sit on the head of poor people , i think we are in a great nation but in the clutches of shameless politician. Nothing will be dried up if these families had got justice.

But more important how much responsible we are, we are always mute spectator , when we got independence and got our first right to vote for first time, 50% people stayed away from voting..... what more can expect from us

This is really very sad....and nothing different like attacking a little Pandora for the sake of land and SEZs.....We are open to capitalism...but not at the cost of destroying very green and prosperous families like these.....

This is a text book case of Gross Violation of Human Rights. Its illegal to acquire fertile land for SEZ, & in this case it is a land being tilled even on scorching summer ! Govt compensates the farmer @ Rs.8 lacs / acre, & sells it @ 50 lacs +. Because this self respecting farmer did not heed to the illegal demands of acqui. officer, only half of his lands are acquired which is fertile & has his house. Wretched bureaucracy is playing shots & legislature seems a happy consenting witness.

Brushing salt to the wounds of a self respecting farmer and his family, MRPL now issues press releases stating that they have incurred losses to the tune of Rs.600 crores due to gregory. They are attempting to blackmail the Govt and gregory.

Really sad. I have no words to say....This is in no way different from attack on 'Pandora' people in the movie 'Avatar'. I am really moved by this incident. Only a farmer can understand other farmers sorrow. This is not really acceptable. Its inhuman. Let them put petron on those police officers and goondas and burn them there only. Its better to be in the jail than being a homeless.
