That's the idea...for Marcos, he owes the old man Laurel (big time) for everything he's become then. Kaya di nya basically pinapansin ang mga banat sa kanya ng kahit sino sa Laurel clan because of that. I don't recall hearing any of the Laurels being imprisoned during martial law!

Halata naman may ambition sya to be president. Kaya nung di pumayag si Cory to honor yung so-called "power-sharing" agreement nila after EDSA 1, dun na sya nabanas kay Cory. Palibhasa, akala nya porque asawa sya ng friend nyang si Ninoy ay pwede na nyang paikutin ang ulo!

Don't get me wrong, Doy was a brilliant man. But in the end, it was obvious that ang kanyang vested interest ang mas mahalaga. Kung di sya nag-gago kay Cory, malamang sya ang na-endorse na standard bearer, not FVR.

Oh well...

nakakatawa minsan political arena satin. Like yung nangyari kay FVR, sa caucus ng LDP nung November 1991, si Mitra and na endorsed ng LDP as candidate nila for President. Ang ginawa ni FVR instead na magconcede eh nagtayo ng sarili nyang partido with the backing of President Cory of course, dahil sa pagiging loyal ni FVR sa 7 coup attempts ni gringo. hahaha lol. onli in da pilipins.
