nah, Sharapova gave Mauresmo two bagel sets, and only lost a single set in the whole entire tournament, having not lost a set until the Semis. It was Sharapova's year in 06.

actually it was indeed Amelie Mauresmo's year in 2006. She won the Australian, Wimbledon, and the YEC.

@QuadThreat thats only cuz in the finals of the Aus and Wim, her opponents retired...i think it was henin both times. and we all know a healthy henin wouldve killed mauresmo. she got lucky

Actually 3 of Mauresmo's opponents retired in the 2006 Australian open, Henin retired in the final, which gave Amelie the title. In Wimbledon, however, None of her opponents retired and Mauresmo won the final against Henin in 3 full sets.
