this image has been haunting me for the last three days since I saw it.. her last moments as she looks at the guy filming her... did she realize she was being filmed in that state of hers?... was she hoping that the video of her being shot and dying will help their cause?.. or was she saying Im dying now.. let me die with dignity and dont show this video of me dying to anyone ..?

I don't mean to found flippant, but it's called multitasking. People can be concerned about casualties of war, and a girl who was shot during a protest.

Also, this girl was not a soldier. She was an unarmed protester who was murdered by a raping, oppressive paramilitary militia for the crime of speaking out against a corrupt theocrat. I think you question would be better phrased, "why doesn't everyone care?"

Neda's death has driven home to people the horror of violence and how it is getting out of hand. Neda died standing up for what she belived in. She has shown the world that the Iranian people will not be silenced, that they deserve more then what they are getting out of the current administration. This has happened in the past even in the USA people coming forward for what they believe in - killed.
