This is a total misinterpretation of the song.... He's not saying "oh how sad it is she died... what were we doing?".... the entire last part of this song implies this isn't the interpretation of the song.... It's saying how b/c she died on tv it's somehow more sad than some unknown cheroke dying..... horrible cover as well.
