  • Just one question: why in proE you do have to select a reference plane when making a sketch? I'm not very familiar with ProE but I have use a bunch of CAD softwares. That's why I 'm so intrigued !!!

  • @regjwaerhouse The reference plane orients your sketch, i.e. tells you which way is up when you are in sketcher mode. ProE often picks a reference plane for you these days, but it is important to remember that the plane it picks becomes a parent feature of the sketch, so it often pays to override whatever ProE picks otherwise you might get a parent/child relationship that will cause problems later on.
