It further goes on to read that this comforter will "speak only what he hears..." how can a spirit hear? do spirits hear? Also, the condition for this spirit to come is John 16:7 Jesus has to depart so that Jesus can send him. BUT spirit was already present during Jesus' time and even before him so this cannot be holy spirit.

I don't know why Jesus had to go away to send the HS, since, HS was present with John the Baptist, also, HS was present when Jesus was being baptized. So when Jesus says he has to go away so that the comforter/councilor shall come it most definitely cannot refer to HS since HS was always present.
Henceforth, the only logical conclusion is that this comforter is a human being NOT a spirit.

@JesusOrMuhammad covenant by definition means a Promise/formal agreement. And what was that covenant? That covenant was to follow the Law. Furthermore, if you analyze it in detail you will see that unless you are a Jew or a seed of Isaac you are not bound by the covenant. For example, if I am a christian following Jesus BUT if I do not have Isaac in my ancestry then I am not bound by the covenant and can do anything I like.

So either we are still waiting for that Prophet or that prophet came and went. Also, note that this prophet cannot be Jesus b/c he fulfills prophecy of Christ.

John 16:7 says the condition is Jesus has to go away so that Jesus can send the comforter. Holy Spirit was always there, even before Jesus was born.
Furthermore, in John 16:12-13 Jesus say this one will guide everybody into all the truth.
I am asking what new truth has holy spirit guided the questions that Jesus had already not mentioned?
For ex: Marriage limit (bible doesn't have one), inheritance law, agriculture, business etc...

It further goes on to read that this comforter will "speak only what he hears..." how can a spirit hear? do spirits hear? Also, the condition for this spirit to come is John 16:7 Jesus has to depart so that Jesus can send him. BUT spirit was already present during Jesus' time and even before him so this cannot be holy spirit.

I don't know why Jesus had to go away to send the HS, since, HS was present with John the Baptist, also, HS was present when Jesus was being baptized. So when Jesus says he has to go away so that the comforter/councilor shall come it most definitely cannot refer to HS since HS was always present.
Henceforth, the only logical conclusion is that this comforter is a human being NOT a spirit.

Henceforth, Holy Spirit is Spirit of Truth/Comforter/Councilor are two different things, they are not the same. 1John4:1-3 clearly states this. Therefore, the spirit of truth/comforter/councilor has to be a man cannot be a HS.

Islam being the only non-christian faith that makes in mandatory for its followers to believe in Jesus. Muhammad taught strict monotheism contrary to what the church preaches i.e. trinity. Is there anyone in the Bible that fits the description of Moses? I have read Bible many times and there is not a single candidate that fits the description of Moses. If being a Jew and claiming prophet hood is the only criteria then there are many who came after Moses David, Solomon etc.., who can fulfil this prophecy

So God was ok with that and therefor the comming prophet would keep speaking like Moses on Gods behalf TO THE ISRAELITES.. So that prophet was for the israelites and not the Arabs.. and thats where "like Moses" refers to..

Jesus fulfills the prophecy of the Christ i.e. Messiah BUT not the prophet since Jews were waiting for 3 different prophecies. Henceforth, either that Prophet has already come and gone OR that prophet is still to come. Today, Jews are still waiting for that Prophet, you can ask any Rabbi. Christians claim Jesus to be that Prophet and Muslims claim Muhammad to be that prophet.

Second, if you read KJ version of Deuteronomy 17:15 it says brethren BUT "who is not Israelite" is not there. Only NIV has this inserted in that verse. Furthermore, even if I agree with you that this isn't Muhammad then where is this prophet? Cannot be Jesus, since Jesus does not fulfill the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18. The verses pointed are direct quotes of Moses i.e. they are quoting Moses

Also, John 5:46 does not verify that Jesus is the same prophet mentioned in Det. 18. If we look up the similarities of all the prophets mentioned in the Bible none of them are actually similar to Moses.

Very well...But according to John 1:19-21 Jews were still waiting for the prophet of Deut. 18 to come. And if you ask a Rabbi today, Jews today are still waiting for that Prophet. So either that prophet has come and gone or still to come. According to John 1:19-21 Jesus only fulfills the prophecy of Christ NOT the prophet.

If you read Deut. 18 it refers to brethren. (NIV is the only one that exerts Israelite in Deut. 17:15).

@JesusOrMuhammad covenant by definition means a Promise/formal agreement. And what was that covenant? That covenant was to follow the Law. Furthermore, if you analyze it in detail you will see that unless you are a Jew or a seed of Isaac you are not bound by the covenant. For example, if I am a christian following Jesus BUT if I do not have Isaac in my ancestry then I am not bound by the covenant and can do anything I like.

BUT covenant by def'n as I had said earlier means a binding agreement NOT prophet. Prophet by definition means the person who delivers God's message and who prophecized in the name of God. Covenant and Prophet are two different things, you cannot mix them.

2. Elijah
3. Prophet
1. Christ is kristos i.e. messiah who was Jesus. 2 was Elijah and 3rd is the Prophet mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18-19 if u cross reference this prophet with Deuteronomy 18.
So either we are still waiting for that Prophet or that prophet came and went. Also, note that this prophet cannot be Jesus b/c he fulfills prophecy of Christ.

Mark 16:5 presents the only potential issue and it isn't the only one at all. If there were two angels in the tomb, then there was at least one. This one was on the right. Paul's way of teaching his own Gospel instead of True Gospel if it were God tellin him these things why wouldnt he say Jesus Gospel or God's Gospel and i think the True Gospel is the Good News of God's Kingdom. Paul's name not written in names of Disciples in Heaven. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Paul's writings they explain Gods plan of salvation from the beginning of the first sin of Adam all the way through Jesus crusifixion and resurrection for our sins..

Acts 22:9: "And those who were with me indeed saw the light and were afraid, but they did not hear the voice of him who spoke to me."

In Acts 9:7, it's stated the men with Saul heard a voice when direction was given by Jesus to "Arise and go into the city..."
In Acts 22:9, it's stated that when Jesus revealed himself (by name) to Saul, those that were with him did not hear a voice but saw a great light.
It is consistent with the revelation of Jesus Christ, that he reveals himself (personally) on an individual bases in salvation.. there is no contradiction .. u should try to look for answers urself and learn before posting

Christians are not under the old covenant we are under the new covenant wich means our hearts are circumsized.. correct sin was not taken into account before the law was given but everyone still had to face death wich entered into the world through the sin of Adam and Eve. I suggest u to read Romans entirely.. Jesus fullfilled the Law and thats what He said.

u can attack Paul all u want but it doesnt change the fact that he was a great Apostle and he died even for his belief in Jesus.. and add to that, that Peter withnessed Paul's writings as inspired by God

what i'm bout to say is off subject but interesting relating to story of Issac being firstborn. Deu 21:15-17 says if a man has two wives and has a son with the one that is hated, that son is firstborn not the one that come from the beloved who was not firstborn and you cant change their order just because one is beloved and other hated. how can in Bible it say firstborn is Issac when Ishmael was born first and is considered a son by God

according to the trinitarian position Jesus was because of his humanity in lower position but not lower in nature / being then the Father.. Jesus lowered himself to do the work that the Father sent him for.. this is basically the explanation from a trinitarian point of view
